Try Open Sans, you won't look back.
Try Open Sans, you won't look back.
I've been using Arimo instead, it's (very) similar - but I think I prefer it, Open Sans is used a lot.

not much happening really..
Thought I'd show a demonstration of my current project. It's a library and a pretty big chunk of it is a MVC Framework, but it also has a bunch of other functions. This is a somewhat of a limited demonstration of the views and models but it shows the basics, I'm planning to do a video showing the whole process of setting it up to creating a website with a functioning user system.

Ignore the background music, you might have problems watching it from Germany - the music caused YouTube to block it in Germany.
Let me know what you think, anyway.
I'm remaking GLoading.. better?
Here's a pic of what I made at this time...
[thumb]http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/537265newgloading.png[/thumb]
I'm remaking the file management system, can connect through steam, etc.
Is this ugly or I should continue that way ?
*scared*
Quick edit: to see the current gloading: http://gloading.com/
Just got bored and made a design...
Thoughts?

Good looking.
Is it a private homepage?
Is it directly a samba share? If so then won't it have issues being offline? Read speeds off it will suck, Writes block too?
(Unless you are hosting the server on LAN or you have really fast internet ofc)
It is hosted on the desktop, and I only use my laptop. It won't ever be offline unless the desktop breaks or my power goes out.
I manage the files via samba on this laptop, over LAN.

Thanks! Nah, its for a project idea I have which Il reveal soon.
Nothing major but I made a basic little Greasemonkey script to add a 'reverse Google image search' link to Wallbase pages.

Just thought I'd share it with you guys.

Ah, cool. I'd like to see the outcome.
I'm probably late but have you guys seen this?

[sp]Need a mega thread for things like this imo, any volunteers?[/sp]
So PubNub has been trying to contact me for the past two months, I use their service for stream chat rooms and such. Apparently I've been having "enormous" activity (I published 100 messages within a month) and they're suspending my account unless I start paying $15/m. So I created my own socket message relay called Brew.
[t]http://puu.sh/5Irzf/5eca60e99b.png[/t]
http://nlan.org/video/stream/corporalasshole
It uses node.js for web socket authentication and channel management with private keys for PHP to publish messages. This system is almost 3x more fast than PubNub's network.

found an old experiment of mine, fixed it up with some css3 animations

Any suggestion for a signed SSL certificate, if I am going to spend $100-200 on one then who's the best/worthiest provider?

This reminds me, does Brackets even have SFTP/FTP?
my boss finally got our website up and running
Basically it's a online local newspaper
as the quote on our front page says "full details of the services we provide, advertising packages and pricing, weekly news bulletins,
local webcam feeds, interviews with local personalities, and articles of local interest on just about anything you could imagine, plus iPad-friendly version."
blah blah blah
after having a look at it however it's not exactly how i imagined it would come out
i'd like it if you gave it a look and gave me a few criticisms to take back to him

Well, it's god awful IMHO.
Automatic vimeo video.
Animated spinning GIF logo. We're not in the late 90s anymore. Jagged edges too.
The header background is bland as hell.
'Untitled document' in the title.
No layout of any sort, looks like it was made in frontpage or something.
Why is the navbar so far to the right? It makes everything un-aligned.
The latest-features thing in the bottom left is a freaking scrolling frame.
Adverts freaking everywhere.
I think you need a redesign, pronto.
TerabyteS, where did you goooo? You used to keep this thread much more alive :(

How can people forget to change that? I used Dreamweaver in a Comp Tech project and is easy as hell to realize, "Oh. I should Change that"
