I stuck hungarian notation in there because I kept forgetting which types the variables were when writing it :(

It'll be good if you provide an option in the slide to select any slide at will.

Still think the colours are all wrong and the footer should spread width-ways across the whole page, but other than that the layout is great.
The place I work ran a few tests with usertesting.com a couple weeks back and one of the people who did a test for us came back and ordered more stuff. I think that's a good sign.
We use it at work (ecommerce business)
Always learn something valuable from running tests.
In other news, this is quite a good sign.

font looks too large... no?

Try 13px and a font that isn't Tahoma.
Use px for font sizing on websites, not pt.
I've always used pt, didn't know that you could use px for fonts
Use px for font sizing on websites, not pt.
ive been using em for like a year
[editline]29th July 2012[/editline]
is thi sbad
1em is equivalent to the inherited font-size. So if <body> had a font-size of 20px and <h1> had a font-size of 2em it would be 40px.
pt is the most fucked up because 72pt = one inch, which doesn't make any sense because an inch is dependent on the pixel density so it's really only sane for use in print.
px is what you should be using as it offers the most accurate representation as when I set my font-size to 20px, I know it's going to be 20px from top to bottom.
yeah i mean i know how em works but is it a bad approach i mean
i guess if i were going for a layout where a needed a specific pixel height for my text i'd use it, but i read that it's good to use em because it works off of the client's font settings and doesn't overrule any of their choices. all my designs end up working perfect so it seems like a good choice but idk
-snip-
wow nevermind
Okay, I've reduced the font size to 14px (13 looked a little too small to me)
I've found a nice font called 'Karla' on Google web fonts too.

I think the containers are also too large, which makes them hard to read. And the borders are probably too strong, too.
[t]http://puu.sh/MH30[/t]
I've thinned the border but I'm pretty happy with the size of the containers.
I personally would have a hard time reading in those large and shallow containers.
What do you suggest? No containers for large amounts of text?
Not that this site is going to have paragraphs and paragraphs of text in it.
Narrower containers.
[t]http://puu.sh/MIv6[/t]
Getting clearing working was a little awkward, IE6 is still borking and not matching the container heights
Why are you still accounting for IE6? Only around 6% of the entirety of those who browse the Internet are still using IE6. I don't think you'll ever get any IE6 users.
[editline]29th July 2012[/editline]
In the lifetime of one of my websites I only got 881 visits on IE6 out of 518743. That's 0.1%.

The height of the star and the flag seems wrong, maybe its because they are just lined up next to the others and i'm not looking at them in use, however they do look very clean :)

Well, in the real thing they're on the other side of the bar and they're also in another context, that's why I had them like that. I might try resizing them though.

That's possibly one of the best compliments I've ever received considering that here in Italy to compliment someone you kick them in the balls with a strength that varies depending on how much you feel for them.
I went to Italy once. The men were douchebags, the women bearded.
Had a great time.

The thing about bearded women is just a myth. They shave regularly.
