I'd like more padding around the 5 in the circle at the top. Just a couple px to open it up a bit more.

The designs you make are built in photoshop right? What are the best ways to transform that awesome stuff into code then?
The designs you make are built in photoshop right? What are the best ways to transform that awesome stuff into code then?
layer isolating, trimming and saving for images or icons, markup, css using features when possible to fill in for layer effects
trimming and saving for images or icons
This time I'm actually using vector icons only on an SVG spritesheet made with Illustrator. SVG on the left, PNG on the right. nice
Right now I'm working on being pissed at myself for forgetting my mouse on the first day this week that I'm going to be doing design... Fuck.
That great feeling when you tweak something a little and then you realize you've improved it a lot. [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/2951174/webdesign/a.png[/t]
Loving it tera, keep it up
Oh, and improved notification circle thingy as requested :v:
It feels a little cramped to me still. The number feels too close to the bottom of the circle, but it will feel too close to the top if you bump it up. I definitely think it'd look better if it was 2px-ish bigger in each direction.
My database was getting a little big for my VPS, so I bought a new VPS. The problem was that the hard disk was too full to dump the databases to a file. I ended up SSH'ing into the old VPS from my new VPS, running mysqldump and piping the output to a local file. Luckily both VPSs are on a 1 Gb line and the transfer took only 4 seconds.
Hello everyone, I'm new here, at least in this section. I was just curious, who here is a professional, paid hourly, web designer here?
There's a few in here close to or in the 6 fig salary range. It's all about finding a company or location where your skills are in high demand.

So I've started working last week in this company and they gave me a project on which only I work full-time. There's another guy that works only part-time one it and another one that I have no idea. Anyways, the original project was made back in 2002 and we're suppose to rewrite it in today's standard and make it use CakePHP. To be honest, it is rather terrible since it uses like 70 tables, half of which are duplicates but for different categories and named idiotically. I'll probably be working on this project for the next month if not two, which kinda sucks because working on a new project is much more interesting than redoing some old code written a decade ago...
