I'm yet to see a person on earth to hold a mouse like that.... (like Terabytes showed in the top pic)
No it's because the Apple design is ergonomically a much better option for preventing carpal tunnel. I'm hoping that within the next decade the mouse of today is dead.
Who even holds a mouse like that? I dislike it because like all Apple products it doesn't fit you, you have to fit it.
How did you hold it then? [editline]30th August 2012[/editline]
I'm yet to see a person on earth to hold a mouse like that.... (like Terabytes showed in the top pic)
I know at least three people in my office who do it.
I know at least three people in my office who do it.
Well then the only thing you can say to them is Godspeed (and you should probably help them while you're at it). Also, after using Logitech MX518 (best mouse ever) for 5 years and just today buy a G400 (because my MX518 die, RIP), I really doubt there's any other mouse better than that. I have used Apple's mice and they were all shit compared to the MX518 or the G400 (which is the same as the MX518 really). And as Amiga OS said, good mice have sensitivity controls on them, also back and forward, which, for some reason, Apple couldn't have thought of.
You have to treat the magic mouse as a hybrid between a mouse and a touch screen. You wouldn't grip a touch screen, but at the same time you wouldn't poke/tap a mouse.
https://www.elpishost.com/ Anything I can change/add?
For a keyboard junkie, this coupled with the massive speed improvements and fixed memory leaks are enough to make me switch back.
https://www.elpishost.com/ Anything I can change/add?
I've said this before, but change the colours. A lot. Yes, I know that you're trying to stick to the colours of your logo and that's understandable but those colours seriously do not work well on a webpage. Greys, blacks and whites usually work well for these kind of things because there will usually be sources of color coming from other things like images on the page, icons and buttons. Lastly - and I'd like to mention I'm fairly bad at critiquing people so don't take my advice completely to heart - the page is very bland and content-less. If you look at other hosting websites you'll see that they take advantage of a lot more of the page and provide a lot more information. If I was looking for a server host, I wouldn't be instilled with much hope for your service just by looking at your website.
https://www.elpishost.com/ Anything I can change/add?
Feels like you're trying to sell me vitamins.
integrating the main design with your CMS would be nice too, the HostBill parts of the website really doesn't blend well with the colour scheme you have
I have a similar one to this. Can't go back to anything "normal" now.
What are you working on? v7 - You're holding it wrong By the way, do you guys want me to lock this thread so you can have a new OP and new highlights and shit?
What are you working on? v7 - You're holding it wrong By the way, do you guys want me to lock this thread so you can have a new OP and new highlights and shit?
Too many [del]not enough[/del] highlights to post.

I designed it and I know the places for improvement are not related to color at all. Focusing on redesigning elements on the page itself would be a much more rewarding task. I avoided the usage of today's conventional hard contrast edges for this project as a means of experimentation to find a design paradigm more appropriate to the company's image. In retrospect, the design may look nicer having used them, but in my opinion it would be at the cost of bringing back themes seen within generic site templates. Linking to templates does not help your case, either, as most templates are intentionally generic in design and color scheme to fit most contexts thrown at it. That site is something I've really wanted to improve on, because I feel it has a lot of potential, but I've yet to commit to working on it due to Elpis Host not being ready to start development on it again.
By the way, do you guys want me to lock this thread so you can have a new OP and new highlights and shit?
Yes please. And nuke this one from orbit.
make a new shaunofthelive and nuke this one from orbit
https://www.elpishost.com/ Anything I can change/add?
yeh remember the detailed critique of the site design that i made a few months ago that people agreed with? go read that again [editline]31st August 2012[/editline] yall got gross hands
The whole thing gives off a weird organic feeling that really doesn't fit.

Working on a module loading system within PHP. (Starting to hate this language). Aside from that. It creates a form field for rendering with custom details + makes a copy of it in the modules table so we can quickly assemble / disassemble modules that may have specific purposes within say, an admin menu.
class example { function __construct() { ra_module::create_hook('example_install'); ra_module::create_hook('example_uninstall'); } final public function example_install() { // We are going to build a basic registration form here. ra_module::add_action('text', 'first_name', '', array ('placeholder' => 'First Name', 'required' => 'required')); ra_module::add_action('text', 'last_name', '', array('placeholder' => 'Last Name', 'required' => 'required')); ra_module::add_action('text', 'address1', '', array('placeholder' => 'Address Line 1')); ra_module::add_action('text', 'address2', '', array('placeholder' => 'Address Line 2')); } final public function example_uninstall() { ra_module::remove_actions(); } }
Edit: Rated dumb because I said PHP was stupid or because you think this class doesn't work? Plugin systems work wonderfully on extensible systems...
Making a website for a friend of the family's small nursery. I'm not really a designer though so if someone could rip my current 2 hour design (Mostly been working on back end stuff) to shreds, I would appreciate it!! http://i.imgur.com/k63Fb.png
I would advise you to use padding at the top
