Hi, been lurking here for a bit. Been wanting to post something for a while and I finally do.
I've been working on a CMS for college as of late (Not going to show off that design yet, needs to be re-worked) and I've been making my admin panel and I'm stuck for design.

Any advice? CC, Etc.
First of all I'm certainly going to get rid of the red on that button in the top-right corner. But I just can't seem to work out a suitable panel for the main content.
^^Press start to contizzle.
Trying to setup a nice CI setup. Any suggestions?
I'm thinking of just tying in Jenkins to the git repo
Working on a site for a friends garage. I've written a custom php 'system', code is ugly as fuck. Still a work in progress though.

CC on the design?
I know it's not obvious where to type for a new post. (Text field starts empty.) Any suggestions on how to improve that?

That layout looks pretty messed up to me though. It's a bit too dark for my tastes, and it's quite hard to get a sense of what's going on.

Was bored and I liked how that looked so started recreating it with a bit of a twist. Ended up making this in 2 days.

Didn't have time to add proper image upload & resize. Or any settings for that matter.

I first thought the background was plain gray until i realized there was really tiny lines. I really needed to get closer to the monitor. idk if that's good or not but, it made my realize my butt hurts.

I like everything but the banner.
the curly text seems out of place in my opinion, compared to everything else on the site

just a few suggestions, when you go to a car's page such as http://dietro.be/carinfo.php?id=21
when you click the picture of the car, i would get a modal box in there, instead of taking you to a new tab with a picture of it, look's less professional this way, also the background doesn't repeat or some other problem ...when the images exceed it's limits.. look's like either the background repeat is off, or your float's need fixed..

I would have to agree a bit. Maybe pick an alternative sans-serif from the one already used to add a bit of contrast without too much distraction?
I like it though.

Don't use images for text (Welcome to IGameHost! and Why Us? sections especially)
Search engines can't read it, and it introduces accessibility issues (screen readers can't read it)

You may already know this but as a follow up on Vietnow (just in case):
If you want a good selection of designer fonts but don't want to have to worry about defaulting to
"web-safe" type, Google has it's on repo of pretty slick fonts which you can use right from them.

They have a great selection of San Serifs; some of which I use on my own website. They're pretty quick downloads on the user-end and they load up pretty fast. All-in-all, a great tool if you want something pretty without having to resort to image type.
Just do the usual CSS stuff and format the text thus and so.

It looks very nice but you may want to compress the background at http://tinypng.org/.
I have shit Internet and it took about 3-5 seconds to load it. I know it isn't a huge deal but its always jarring for me when I have to watch a background gradually load in on a webpage.
Got my mousepad today for my business

Nice! thanks. Got it down to 660kb
wtf. I just like 6 of my assignments in an hour ( they were beyond simple ) since it was html and php. And the teacher called me accusing me of cheating. I asked her what PHP stands for and she didn't even know.
Let her ask you questions on the code or walk her through it.

I had to do that earlier on a (terrible but working) Javascript scrolling footer earlier. My web teacher annoys the hell out of me, it's like she Googles tutorials 5 minutes before class or just reverts to W3Schools (Which she keeps claiming "Is always accurate because it's the W3C"). She forced us to go through Codecademy then laid this stupid JS/HTML assignment on us, not realizing the JS section of Codecademy has nothing to do with HTML interaction because she had no idea what Codecademy entails.

Not sure on the modal box. I'll try implementing it later today. I fixed the images, I misplaced a .htaccess which caused it to completely stop loading my JS files..

When you hover over mine a small black box slides in from the top with a caption.
Last year I got top grade in Webdev. My teacher used w3schools for everything, and tables n' inline HTML instead of css. Most of the stuff I learned, was from the internet in my spare time :)
I got a terrible grade in web dev back in highschool because I got in a heated argument with this old ass teacher teaching us the most dreadful practices in web design ever.

I wish I had teachers like that to poke fun at them. My teachers actually know what they're talking about (at least most of the times).
