Put the icons on the left of the text and add some hover css on both text and icon. The text on the footer lacks in something, maybe a better font?

The "This page was created using HTML and CSS." is also a bit useless because every (decent) website is made with those.

You might also want to make the background fixed so that the bottom part with the grass is visible at all times.

It's a nice querky looking site. Definitely get a new, properly, anti aliased typeface for your navbar though because it looks pretty choppy right now.

Also, you can create the header with CSS and HTML easily, really no need for a picture.

Use a higher resolution image and stretch it instead of tiling it in the BG. Meanwhile I'm making some PHP stuff (Don't yell at me!): making a 4 page site for class to make a list of people and their personal details then display it. One page can generate a table of names, addresses, phone numbers, logins, emails etc. Another page can retrieve a number of records from the list and the other two pages are purely backend for other stuff. I could've probably done it in one page if we didn't have to do it in 4.
