I tried that, it looks bad. What's wrong with margin-right: 17px? It's just for spacing between the content boxes

This is something i've done in 10 minutes, just to give an idea of what style would fit it. You need to consider the style of the design when working with a color such as that.

I really like it, though may I suggest you slightly tweak your margins/padding? The blue title bars for example feel a bit oddly padded. I think it'd also look better if the content for statistics and events had a similar format they seem to be a bit too mis-matched. That may just be me though.
