At least you have clients.
Someday, we just might get some... if we keep waiting...
"Client: Why are you taking so long?" "Me: I'm coding & designing a whole website, you are aware right?" "Client: So It's been two days" "Me: You've asked me to integrate the entire website with the forums and custom server statistics for valve and minecraft servers." "Client: Ye, should be done by now." On the verge of punching him in the face.
i'd just fire the client really, would be a waste of my time, you can always find more work always

[editline]6th November 2012[/editline] Also, post it to http://clientsfromhell.net/
Also, post it to http://clientsfromhell.net/
The guy only complained about it not being done. Doesn't exactly make for riveting reading like some of them on there.
I'll probably give 50 or more. Depending on how much I like it.
I will make one free for you too.
Someday, we just might get some... if we keep waiting...
Finding client work isn't necessarily hard, you just need to know where to look
its all about the connections and networking and that
I did give him a deadline, a week. He didn't understand the principle of making a website. I explained it to him and he's more then happy with the process now :) Edit: And swift is right, most my clients are from word of mouth

Updated an old client's website. Edit: Just noticed the logo is jaggy as fk for some reason.

There is a bit much going on, but they want a really "gamerish" site. And the navigation is still quite clear.

Edit: Just noticed the logo is jaggy as fk for some reason.
It is a bit busy but it's still alright, dunno why you blurred the logo out though, you've posted the older version in this thread in the past. I like the depth you gave the header with the drop shadow!
Thank you, ye I did post it before. I just blur all of my new content for precaution ( you know how clients can be ).

However, that background has a bunch of artefacts in it - I know this is because you've compressed the whole thing so much to try and get it to load quicker, but once it's cached it's really not much of a problem. How big is the background right now in terms of filesize - 50kb or so? Anything under 65 is fine, and waiting for 3 seconds for it to load for the first time is far better than looking at that skeleton's disgustingly deformed face D:

Any recommendation for a grungy one ?
Just recreated my site with PHP rather than static HTML. http://www.benbristow.co.uk/ Tried to make it conform as much to that stupid EU Cookie law thing as possible. CloudFlare still seems to set cookies though. /sigh.
Just my 50 cents. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/5oWVU.png[/thumb] Also I think the post layout from the homepage looks bland, maybe something like this?
45kb's
I don't know why I was putting 0s after what I typed there. I meant 50 and 65kb :S
I might look for a new texture though. Any recommendation for a grungy one ?
I expect you probably know of these, but maybe try: http://subtlepatterns.com/ And http://tileabl.es/ If not, I quite like the Grunge Notion brush packs by JavierZhX (there are 3 of them) I assume you mean just a grungy background with nothing else in it? Or are you looking to blend some of those video game references in too?
http://www.cgtextures.com/
Those guys are also pretty good, but I find that many of the textures given there aren't really ready for websites. They're all a bit, well, in your face - more suited to 3D design unless you sift through them to find ones that would look nice and clean as a background. Also, their policy on using their stuff for commercial work is a bit sketchy IIRC (their site won't load for me right now so I can't check). http://textureking.com/ has some really nice stuff too.

Couldn't look it up as the site is just timing out :S

Maybe change the top margin a little to make it stand out more as sections/groups (I assume that's what they are?). I really love where you're going with this, it looks amazing.
Hey Ac!dl3ak, does your admin panel have flashy animation shit like sliding and fading?
@krag, source on your avatar ?
Lia Marie Johnson, also thanks to Swift for getting me gold :)
(She's ~15)
She's my age, 16. A month younger. Looking really nice Miljaker, but personally I think the greyboxes look a bit odd. Maby try a light grey? #ccc or #ebebeb?
