I made a favicon for kragmars' [URL="http://ezyimg.com/"]EzyImg[/URL] site.

But, when you upload an image, the favicon will display the current progress remaining:

I think you made the same mistake I and many other people have. One dark coloured container with a highly noticeable border-radius and [I]lots of italics[/I]. Not bad for your first site though I'd say, better than my first site I think.
-> Add a footer.
-> Either remove the border-radius completely or make it less outstanding.
-> Remove those italics everywhere.
-> Have a tiling image background.
-> Make your text conform to the golden ratio if it doesn't already.
-> Add some images or icons or something, it looks kinda bland at the moment

To add to what D:\ said, remove the centering on the paragraph text, it's harder to read. Keep it left-align...
But it looks nice (especially for a first design!).

Personally, I'd change the colour scheme to the light green on the turtle. I think it'd look a lot better like that.

I did what D:\ said with it all, except for the images since I don't have any to throw on it yet. I thinned out the navbar and the header a bit because they were too big imo. Amiga OS sent me his background image for me to use which is nice. If anyone has any that they think will be better, please share!
Anyway, what do you guys think of the new look? I'll throw up later versions of it as I work on it. I'm quite proud of my first site!
It looks pretty good, especially for a first site!
I'd suggest moving the page title (Scene1) over so it's aligned to the left corner of the content area, it looks a little odd floating there when all the other content is in another area.
