Jelly what do you think??
You could use more margin-bottom on the subheadings (Who are we, What is F1 in Schools, etc), you also misspelt Gallery in the navigation.
Well, I live in Doha, Qatar but I did partake in F1 for schools back in Dubai... I think your logo needs to be a lot smaller. At least adjust the kerning so that it's not so long. That said, you might need to throw something in the right there to balance it out. Perhaps if you have some social media accounts? *shudders* Erm, I think you could really benefit from a side-bar or some other content to break this thing up on the right hand side. Full-width content (not being used in a blog) rarely looks right in my eyes.
Thanks. How would you suggest I do the side bar? [editline]14th November 2012[/editline]
You could use more margin-bottom on the subheadings (Who are we, What is F1 in Schools, etc), you also misspelt Gallery in the navigation.
Grammar mistakes everywhere. Thanks. Also what about the design.
Thanks. How would you suggest I do the side bar?
Do you mean in terms of layout or what you'd put in it? I'm guessing you guys will have some photos to show off some time or another, so it might be worth displaying a few of them on the right there if that's your home screen. Honestly though, with a website that has very little varied content, you should consider reducing the entire content area width to something more manageable. Right now you're using 80% of my monitor width, and it's making the whole website feel very empty.
Right. In terms of layout as well how would you suggest I do it? Cheers. [editline]14th November 2012[/editline] Excuse all the grammar mistakes. I was rushing the night before the competition to get something done.
Right. In terms of layout as well how would you suggest I do it? Cheers.
Well before you do that, try centring the entire page. Right now it's just pushing itself off the left edge. margin:0 auto; is your friend here - create a div that surrounds all your content and apply that tag. It'll bring everything into the middle. You should probably be doing the same for your title and logo. If this seems a little confusing it's just because I really think you should be narrowing your content width and to do that you're going to need the whole thing properly centred. Unless I've totally missed the point and you specifically want this to be 20% off the left edge of the page, in which case I apologise :)

I'm fixing stuff up on localhost before uploading to the site. I have done that, I'm just about to reduce the logo size now. Updated a tiny bit. http://exclusive1.asia/demiurge/ Still not sure as to how I would layout that 'side bar' Proffrink suggested.
Just turn the main content body into a simple two column layout then adjust as appropriate. You'll probably want your sidebar to be around 20-30% of the entire thing.
Ok, cool thanks. [editline]14th November 2012[/editline]
Having trouble converting my current code to the two column layout. Unless I was to recode the most part I think? [editline]14th November 2012[/editline] This is what I keep getting: http://exclusive1.asia/Capture.JPG With the CSS of: #content { padding-left:10%; width:30%; } #content2 { float:right; width:30%; } Content 2 is the bottom text part. I have tried negative margin-top. Nothing. I have no idea as I have never tried to use two divs together before.
Fixed it, well for my screen resolution anyway. Haha. I've been quite busy with school and such, I did however do this in the last two days when I had spare time. [thumb]http://ezyimg.com/view/K4M54m[/thumb] [thumb]http://ezyimg.com/view/830Afr[/thumb] Alternatively you can view it online, should work on most if not all resolutions. Mobile ready.
Links are broken.
They are not meant to work? Well I don't think they are.
They aren't suppose to work, it's just the homepage.
Oh, that's why.

Thanks I forgot I changed the icon sprite, I'll fix it :)
Thanks I forgot I changed the icon sprint, I'll fix it :)
Sprint? Sprite or am I missing something? :S
You're right, sorry. :)
It's ok. I'm not being a Nazi, I just thought you might be talking about something I wasn't aware of :D
Hey guys, can I have some constructive feedback on how to make a school project website look a little better? http://exclusive1.asia/demiurge/ Fire away. I know. The footer needs work.
[t]http://puu.sh/1q94i[/t]
[t]http://puu.sh/1q94i[/t]
Good advice. May I add that you should be seriously considering reducing that page width to 700px or so. You simply do not have enough content to fill a whole 1000+px. As for the social icons, try the Icomoon free icon pack - there are icons in there for everything, and they're royalty free so are safe to use for development so long as you're not re-selling this website. A dark grey, light or dark green may work best, but try not to have them totally black as they'll look out of place. And I still think your logo is far too long - although really this is just a matter of opinion that I'm not sure others would share, so feel free to ignore me on that :) It's looking much better, but obviously that second column needs fixing. I've not checked any of your markup but from here it seems the problem is that you're still not aligning the thing horizontally using the margin:0 auto; attribute and are instead using a margin from the left with a percentage value.
[t]http://puu.sh/1q94i[/t]
Thanks! I knew the sidebar was going to be hackey as I was going be negative pixels and on my screen it looked fine. What font would you sugge est I use? I will fix it up when I get home. [editline]15th November 2012[/editline]
Good advice. Working on a school project, desktop & mobile size. http://users.turkuai.fi/users/jlehtine/projekt/ still needs some fixes with fonts and text placing

And IMO buttons in that sense don't really fit in a nav nicely. But if you like buttons, make it so they do something on hover and click. -> Also, in your "Hello" div, I think there is too much white space. Looks damn good overall. Loving the background.
Here's a mockup I'm working on for school. Any feedback?
