Looks great, although I think the login/register part could be in the way/a pain if you were to leave it in its current position.
That's possible, I'm mainly just creating the elements to see where I'm going with the design.
So, I finally got round to finishing my re-design. (I'm still learning, cut me some slack) http://nehkz.me. I'd appreciate some constructive feedback from some of you. Thanks.

Make a div as a container and put everything in there. make it your X amount of pixels wide & margin:auto; Then start putting extra stuff in there. Also, the box you use for content looks like something that should be a small area with a slideshow IMO.

But until I actually get customers from my freelance website that I'm working on (and once I've learnt more languages), there isn't going to be much content. I guess it is only my personal site though. I may even re-do it again since it's pretty much a learning process anyway.

Add 40px padding the the right. instead of making it width 100%, use a fixed with. I don't really want to read the paragraphs from left of my monitor to the right. You're menu isn't really noticeable. Maybe I'm just being dumb, but it took me a while to find it :v: Not really sure if you want that white space under the footer. [editline]28th November 2012[/editline] Don't center align your paragraphs. make it look like an actual paragraph you write in papers. left aligned.
Am I the only one confused by it having 3 and 1 pages?
oops, I decided to go through and localize the views and i guess I messed it up. I'll fix it. [editline]28th November 2012[/editline]
Wait, so using text-align: center is bad practice? since when? and yeah, the content div probably should be a slideshow. [editline]28th November 2012[/editline]
It looks nice. One thing I dislike of it though is the login, personally i think it would look better if the fields were next to one another. Also that shadow looks terrible, but I'm guessing that's just for the preview image?
of course
Made a small hack to my slide thing that allows me to use my smartphone as a remote control. Phone goes to remote control web page which sends ajax requests to increase/decrease current page number on server. [T]http://i.imgur.com/blSZC.png[/T] The slide web page polls every X seconds to get the current page number and updates if needed. It's pretty easy, but I'm looking for a better way because interval polling is kinda stupid if there aren't any new changes. Anyone knows another way to do this with php and js? (I know it's kinda easy with nodejs but I don't have that atm :x)
Safari doesn't support :nth-child() O.o
Safari doesn't support a lot of things. Yay propriatary browsers, eh?
Safari doesn't support :nth-child() O.o
Are you sure?
I have Safari 5.1.7 installed, and it doesn't work. :S
Try updating, and make sure your code is 100% correct. (Tested in another browser? (Maybe the other browser catched and handled the mistake in the code or something?))
-Snip- God I'm a fucking moron sometimes.
Wrong thread?
It's totally a background-image... (Clutching at straws here, I don't want him to be all embarrassed.)
Wrong thread?
I'd say so, yes. Sorry people.
Can you open socket connections between two browsers with javascript yet? That would pretty much do the trick I think. Actually, just opening a socket connection to the server and using that as a relay would do the trick.
WebSockets
Safari doesn't support a lot of things. So a family member wants to dabble with eBay, so she bought a template. Decided it was hellish and asked me if I'd simplify / improve it for her. The code was absolutely horrible, too. So I turned this [T]http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/734/8147032483.jpg[/T] Into this: [T]http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/734/0604160997.jpg[/T]
I think the concept is cool, but your redesign makes it more bare and takes out some of the "life" the old one had. Oh and please for the love of god use the right Twitter and Facebook icons, those are driving me insane.

There's nothing worse than seeing an eBay auction with flashy gifs all over the place. (Having said that I'm more than open to suggestion!) And for the icons, they were the first 64x64 icons I found. I apologise for any long term psychological damage I may have caused.
Damn Cosmos.is looks fancy
Coming June 2019
I just fell in love with Sublime Text a bit more.
It's totally worth the price!
I don't know if that was sarcastic or not so I'm just gonna note that it's not a lockout, just an occasional nag screen when you save If I had the money I'd have paid them because it's a beautiful piece of software but I am really poor right now
It's totally worth the price!
I'd get it but I honestly think it's not worth 59 dollars. I'd pay 20-30 dollars for it though.
Its the only text editor which doesn't look like a huge turd straight from windows 95.
Notepad++? gedit?
Notepad++? gedit?
They both look like huge turds straight from windows 95.
