Highly doubtful as the site has been built from the ground up to accommodate Facebook accounts.
This is why you decouple authentication from accounts
This is why you decouple authentication from accounts
I am not talking from the backend perspective.
Considering our target demographic all have Facebook accounts it's much more convenient for everyone involved.
Well, that's too bad, no Amuzor for me then. EDIT: To be clear, I'm sad because it seemed like an interesting new website, and just wanted to participate. You should not make a social network mandatory to use another website in general.
I personally think people are overreacting about this facebook thing, I like it.
I personally think people are overreacting about this facebook thing, I like it.
I'm with saming. I personally don't have a Facebook and I'm not going to make one just for this site. I dislike what Facebook does behind the scenes. Why in the world would you not have the option to not use a facebook account? I mean, not everybody has one you know.

We're looking for something between 9GAG, Tumblr, and Reddit and I think we've achieved that.
I'm with saming. It's more nefarious and ambitious than Facebook, I can tell you that much.

I'm actually trying to move my mail services to another mail provider and stop using google web fonts. They are all the services I use from google.

I personally don't mind facebook login as long as it doesn't post for me. That's basically the only annoyance I have with it. I'll do everything via my facebook on your site as long as you keep off my facebook. Don't post for me, don't show up in my likes/recommendations etc. Unless I specify I want to. And don't assume that by logging in trough facebook you can do that.

We did request public_stream permissions on the version we prelaunched but it has since been removed completely to avoid confusion and concern. I was thinking about making a website dedicated to helping people out how to properly code. A sort of stack overflow but more dedicated to "recoding". Someone posts a bunch of code they wrote (html code for a menu for example) and other people can comment and change the code to explain what is wrong with it. For example changing the 10 divs someone used to make up the menu into an unordered list. And explaining why its better to use an ul instead of divs. I have a lot of times when I'm not sure if something is done properly and if it could be done in a better way. Is there something out there similar to this? And do you think this is a good idea? I personally use facebook, google and all the shit that's fairly good but trusting facebook or google with my info? Nah, facebook devs are just monkeys with keyboards, but google and other services i personally don't care, i even have accounts in porn sites and trust them a lot more than shitty monkeys.

I'm sorry, it's just a fact: it's better to propose multiple choice. Not doing so just ends up reducing your potential target.
Did you reset it all?
Yes, the server was "accidentally" "nuked".
Yes, the server was "accidentally" "nuked".
Please take no offense by this. But before destroying the project why not make backups? How reliable is amuzor when a misunderstanding / argument can get a whole project "nuked" and everyone's data deleted?

Just because someone does not have a Facebook account does not mean they are not part of your target audience.
The lights seem a little over-the-top imo.
IT'S CHRISTMAS!
no. only old people and basket case "ONE DAY THE CORPORATIONS WILL RULE US ALL, IT'S A CONSPIRACY MAN" autists don't use facebook
I don't have a Facebook account anymore because It's no use to me. It's not that I fear for my information (I don't really care about it), it's just that I find it useless. Sharing pictures! Sharing text messages! YAY! Only things we have been doing with emails for the last 20 years! I find that I'm the customer desperately trying to give appreciation to the company, but the company refuses because I don't have Facebook. How is that logic ? Well anyway, it's not like it's gonna change.
You should feel ashamed for saying that and not realizing that facebook is useless, this is a legit statistic trust me.
Being of the opinion that the Facebook service is useless does not mean that one can ignore the huge technology company that is Facebook itself, and the implications and repercussions that this has in the interactions between it and other websites and services. Not using it is a thing, wanting to ignore it is another. Same goes for Google.

But is it normal that a side of the Internet is forbidden to me because people only want me to use their website using said social network? It's their choice, and I respect it; it's not like I can tell them what to do. But it's only an advice: propose multiple signup options. You're free to disagree with that.
I don't see the logic in limiting a site/service like your "Amuzor" to only allow registration through Facebook. It really can't be that much more work to allow a regular registration with the option of using their Facebook account. And if it truly is, I would think it'd be worth it. I'm sure you are correct in your assumption that the majority of your demographic will have Facebook accounts, but why not put in a little extra work and open it up to everyone else? The way to grow your business/service is not by restricting access. Just my two cents.
I think it follows the same kind of logic as actually supporting IE6,7 and 8. Is it worth the extra effort for a few more users?
Yep, 80/20 rule is probably applicable here. I'm sure the dev time to allow non facebook login could be better spent elsewhere right now.
Re-done my site again taking peoples advice from before. I think it looks pretty nice as of now and serves it purpose. http://nehkz.me Be sure to give me any feedback.
