Just looked into a demo of the exploit. It requires he authlogic gem to be used. I'd change that severity to medium then.

You have to know the app secret, unless you have access to the actual project files it's impossible.

As far as I know PHP has more vulnerabilities in it's core. Which is not the usual case with languages, it's mostly 3rd party software that contains vulnerabilities that can be exploited.
I'm not aware if PHP is vulnerable as I write this, but I hope you get the general idea of the point im trying to make.

For me the biggest issue with that design is it requires the user to constantly produce good quality content for it to work. Most photos I see on FB look nothing like those ones.

Facebook's philosophy is entirely about the design not getting into the way of the content and there it is, a design that puts appearance before content on a website where content is key. I think this demonstrates that whoever designed this had no clue about why and how Facebook is the way it is.

They can work just not for ordered data
For something where an item may be prioritized to be out of regular order it makes sense to maybe give it a bigger tile, like a tag cloud or something like that; you preserve the general order so things are easy to find by having an idea of where in the list to look for them, and the more important items are also evident without having to resort to re-sorting it. But for Facebook where everything is chronological giving one thing more priority than another just makes it harder to figure out the actual order without having to compare dates.
