Node isn't all bad, and if you have a look at something like CoffeeScript, you can make some amazing things.

How I work/learn better is make up something ans just do it. For example my first project was a making a website were you have almost every search, popular sites and apps. Now I'm thinking of making a CMS, forum or wiki stuff from scratch.

It's gonna take playlists from YouTube and let you explore/watch related videos for each video on the playlist and possibly add them into the playlist itself. It's part of a series of experiments that will (hopefully) culminate in the creation of a tool to handle playlists from YouTube/Vimeo, a la Spotify.

I will love you forever, if this kicks off, but youtubes playlist support absolutely sucks.

What sucks:
- Playlist limited at 200 songs
- Shuffle resets itself occasionally
- Sometimes it just keeps playing the same song forever
- You can't copy other peoples playlist anymore
What i'll like:
- Shuffle through everything (more then 200)
- Add whole playlist automaticly
- Edit everything in a more comfortable/easier/faster/quicker environment.
- Add multiple sources (soundcloud/Vimeo

Yeah, I wanted to do it specifically for most of those reasons. Also I didn't know YouTube only allowed at most 200 videos. That's crap.

You should look at the [URL="https://developer.spotify.com/technologies/web-api/"]Spotify API[/URL] as well.

Spotify is pretty big and their API is pretty straight forward.

Thanks, I'll review it, not too fussed on the design of the CMS just yet as long as it's functional and user friendly. But I'll certainly put time into making it pretty once I get the backend code to a point that I'm happy with it

If you login once in a while in a supported country, you can use it. There are actually services that'll do that automatically for you.

That would be feasible, but considering you'd also want to use the premium version you'd have to get cards from the country you registered in and all that shizz.

I think you can use PayPal? Not sure though, I'm UK and it's supported in the UK. Worked fine when I lived in the US for 3 months though (this was before Spotify was officially supported in the US).

I find it's easier to just use iTunes and buy my music. The Beatles are there too, and now AC/DC. You pretty much know you're going to get quality music, plus you're supporting the author too.

I dunno, I just have this thing about not paying for music.

They were mashups I couldn't find any other source for, it was a last resort.
