Hey guys, if I could get some CC on a site I'm doing for a web design contest that'd be great. I'm mostly looking for comments on font choice, overall design, and how easy it is on the eyes. Any suggestions concerning links would be great too. http://ttwebsitedesign.net/ttc-rvs-team2/
I've spent a couple weeks so far trying to get a project of mine off the ground. This is the most complete of the page demos [link]: [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/37089713/IIndex/media/site-thumb-26jan.png[/t] I'd work on the links and expansion, but I'm in too rough a position to get a web host myself. PlaceConnector is a service that helps you to find places around you, for example pubs where you want to spend your night or just a supermarket to do some shopping. The important thing is the users can help; everyone in the community may leave comments about their experiences to warn others about the good and bad thing of a specific place. PS: It's in Italian

http://ttwebsitedesign.net/ttc-rvs-team2/
personally i think it looks fine, a few suggestions though would maybe die down the blue background, to a way lighter blue, barely noticeable maybe? also lighten up all the drop shadows a bit, also not sure if you're required to do a one column design but the "quick links" section probably should be noticeable at first visiting the site without having to scroll
personally i think it looks fine, a few suggestions though would maybe die down the blue background, to a way lighter blue, barely noticeable maybe? also lighten up all the drop shadows a bit, also not sure if you're required to do a one column design but the "quick links" section probably should be noticeable at first visiting the site without having to scroll
Thanks! I'll see about possibly toning down the blue, and maybe lightening up the drop shadows a bit. As for your last comment, I'm not sure why the team member in charge of content even put the quick links thing in considering we have a whole page that's apparently going to be dedicated to them. [editline]27th January 2013[/editline]
C-c-comic sans?
Not quite sure where you think your seeing comic sans, but for the record my team was thinking of throwing that font in somewhere just as a joke.
Not quite sure where you think your seeing comic sans, but for the record my team was thinking of throwing that font in somewhere just as a joke.
Well thank god for that, it's only on my end. [t]http://puu.sh/1TzT1[/t]

And I thought Lobster looked nice ( albeit overused )?
It looks pretty awful to be honest, it kind of seems thrown in on your site too
It looks pretty awful to be honest, it kind of seems thrown in on your site too
Could you suggest another font that would look good with the current style then?

TBH I don't think you'll get past states with that, some of the shit that got through in our state is already better than that. We didn't get through based on lack of content, and you don't even have as much as we did (at least, from what I can see based on your site structure).

And while I'm sure there are much better sites than ours going onto nationals, something tells me we'll at least make it past state.

Taken a week so far, any opinions: http://www.ingeniousbytes.com/lamprey/
It's kind of hard to read all that text. Maybe try taking away some, or at least increase the line-height if you need everything to be there.
started filling up my portfolio with actual stuff wooo
Been working on this for a uni project. Taken a week so far, any opinions:
Personally I think the amount of content is fine, it's just to cluttered. 2. Make the font color around "#444" and increase the line-height like previously suggested. 3. Try making the font-size around 14px. 4. Add more padding to the three boxes so it doesn't seem so cluttered. My two cents. Two minutes worth of changing:
