Looks neat and I enjoyed reading the article, I think it should be a bit wider, though.. Just used to wider sites I suppose

You're aware both navigations are broken on smaller windows?

Make all your magins/padding the same and it will look much better, trust me. (for example the About/Work/Contact boxes are not center to their columns, it looks wrong.
Also increase the margins and padding a LOT.
It also feels like it's lacking something visually. I think it needs some imagery.
Text is too small also.

I'm not looking to change that site, when I have time I'm going to redo the whole profile.
That underlining effect. Would look better if you switch that to some color, maybe some light blue?
Also if you give each texts a small background, it'd make it easier to read them. Like on the achievements page, just add a white background, make it a round box(kinda in a speechbox style), and there you go, you got some nice looking text.
And a bit more padding and margin wouldn't hurt.
But so far it looks solid, just needs some adjustments/improvements, but that comes with time.
Thanks. I'll try to improve the text a bit.
And I suppose you're talking about the text-stroke when you say underlining effect ?
I planned to remove it but since it's only on chrome and I dev in firefox (chrome does not like XHR request for files on the hard drive) I forgot about it …

I mean the hover effect on the navigation. It's the default hover effect and yeah, that's the problem for me.

Please make that wider and there needs to be greater contrast between the text and the background. Blogs need to be above all else readable. Other than that fits in with the original site perfectly.

When I make a redesign, I usually just make a single HTML file without any PHP or navigation. So yeah, all links go to #

I mean the site is somewhat responsive but the links at the top do not float/resize on the smaller screen windows.
Just finished putting together and installing my new pc. Love my new 23" Dell IPS, so much easier to work with.

Exactly...
I see your using bootstrap, I like the way they handle their navigation, although I would never directly copy it.

If you have the window that small there'll be more problems than just the menu.

Clearly never heard of browsing on a mobile

are there actually any reasons users (not developers) still have for hating on IE these days?

No extensions?
I always think IE takes an incredible amount of time to start and it usually wipes out the address I type if the home page hasn't loaded

Because webkit.
I did a speed coding challenge, I coded this in around 4 hours. I'm proud that it worked in IE10, Chrome & Firefox on first go c: View Site

Working on a task manager for a small firm, anticipate 4-6 daily active users with 10+ users contracted outside of their business every week or so.
Want to get this to a point where I can go and sell it off, have a product or something.

Can't really give my opinion as I can't see anything with the low quality of the image.

Is that a challenge? I wish, but I'm making it responsive for mobiles now but it's being a pain.
edit: Did majority of the responsive design, just need to add support for smaller screens.
You must be really productive bro ^^
