That design is pretty terrible and flat. You should maybe lighten the mood in there a bit, with some animation too!

Fixed for the most part. Thanks for pointing that out.

Contracts, mate, contracts, including a very important and some times useful clause that says you can transfer your rights in the contract to a third party. So when this happens (albeit it would have to be a slightly higher value), you sell the debt to a collection agency (that is close to your client's location), and let them take care of harassing them until they pay up.
I had a few customers over three or four years try to dip and dash, all it took was a call to a local agency, and for about 10/20% of the value, they'll harass and embarrass the client until he pays (i.e: showing up at their work asking about the debt to co-workers/bosses, showing up at meal times at their homes, calling them two or three times a day - honestly somewhat shady shit). A lot of these companies actually don't even require up-front payment, and will only charge you if the client pays up.

Sounds great to me; if you can't commit, don't start then quit.

I am working on my Flash game CMS. Going well so far, I got ratings working, now I just need to save them. Then I need to fix accounts. It is coming out fairly well so far, I am glad.

Oh it appears I have fucked up my css.

Hey, Is anyone else who is using the Laravel framework having trouble using the $.post() method through jQuery? This system works without the framework on it, however when its connected to the framework it doesn't seem to get the page even when i set the route...
Route::get('process', function()
{
return View::make('home.classes.registration');
});
It's funny a year ago I hated JQuery but I freaking love how easy it is now.
I'm trying to learn basic web development

Change the body font. Arial doesn't look amazing on windows. Try using google's version of Open Sans.

Anyone want to do either design, html/css, or coding (probably ruby) for a Hackathon in a few weeks?
I'm thinking April 14.
I've got a crazy sweet idea and some awesome biz dev guys to help out. This is a sweet way of commercializing memes using a combined existing network of 4-5 million pageviews a month and an extended network of 100+ million.
Messing around with HTML5 and WebGL, using three.js. I'm developing the Settlers of Catan for learning purposes, also it might be fun to play with friends.

The hex tile, corner, and edge placement is all calculated. Resources for each tile are synced between clients upon connecting using node.js and socket.io, along with player connections, etc. No actual gameplay logic has been implemented yet, but that's the next step.

Can I ask how you done the arrows in this? Is it CSS or an image? I was trying to make arrows similar to that yesterday but failed.

They are done in photoshop, I will convert them to CSS if its possible, but I am unsure how its done at the moment without researching, that site is just currently in a mockup. If you do want to know how to make them in photoshop however just draw a box, put a horizontal guide along the middle of the box, hold shift with the polygonal lasso tool and click from the middle line of the box to the edge, that will give you a hard 45 degree angle, rinse and repeat for the rest!

vBulletin does this.
Very early in it's development: http://ezyimg.info/
On the left side you can choose multiple images to upload, you may also register & login in the top navigation bar to save your uploads. For people who like to be tidy I made albums, simply type something into the album field when uploading photos.
C&C appreciated.

That is really sexy. Good work!
I have a question about sessions. Are they secure enough to use as authenticity? Say I set a session variable on the login page. Should I use those say for a comment script later on to make sure the user is who they say they are?
Also, I am using SHA256 and hashing a salt based on the user id and hashing the password, then concatenating them to check the DB, is that good too?

and yeah, when a user tries to do something that requires them to be logged in, you should make sure they 1) can do that, and 2) are who they say they are.
sessions are server side, so i'd think they'd be secure enough, assuming no one has access to your server (and if they do, then you have bigger fish to fry than just sessions).

Jesus christ, you'd use a service like that? I don't think I'd be comfortable subjecting anyone to that kind of behaviour regardless of whether they owe me money. Take them to court, sure, but all out harassment?

Done with ratings! I disallowed multiple ratings.
And a question. When using PHPass, how do I make sure the passwords are the same. When ever I login it generates a new hash!
