http://codepad.org/omQc3UQn
Just ran that code, and it ran as expected (echo'ing "hello").. Care to elaborate where the WTF is here? Edit: Yeah okay so apparently a 6 year old version of PHP acts like this...
Not what I'm working on, but this thread is pretty much general discussion too so I thought you guys might find this hilarious http://thedailywtf.com/Articles/The-Online-Ordering-System.aspx

Echoes "hello" on my setup too, I'm running php 5.3.5.

I mean why would you want to define functions in an if statement? Perhaps it was just overseen or something. ( In the end I have no Idea how the language is parsed. )
It's not that it's necessarily a common use case, but it's a good indication that the internals are goofy. The fact that a language doesn't behave as you would expect it to is never a good thing.

Hey Web Devs, When it comes to website development this would have to be my first real attempt. With a few months of work along with many revisions, I have arrived to this current milestone with all the knowledge I have gained from there to here. Stating ahead, this is not a completed project; I have many executions that have yet to be written, with a style that is no candy to the eye, and a pipeline I feel could be simplified. Server-side I am not using PHP or MySQL, due to my limited internet access I have been using .ASP with some client-side AJAX. Within my current project is a system folder ('sys') that includes the directory of users ('dir') and their attributes along with seperate folders ('director')('exe') with scripts to be executed. I have absolutely no idea of the standard a database should carry, so I am assuming my attempt will look and seem very uncoventional. The plan is to host services throughout domains registered by users, with much of the functionality still in progess, I hope to leave this system as open-ended as possible. Here I zipped away the wwwroot folder of my current build including all the files and folders that I am currently working with. intepub/wwwroot zip I do hope that I can receive some feedback of my approach, along with any ideas of where I might be heading or the direction I am facing.
Quit one of my two jobs today because the CEO is a nut. Came on full time at my other job with a higher salary, good stock options, and better benefits. Win.

So I am working doing my first website design for a customer since the designer that I used to work with moved and stopped doing web design. I have never done any webdesign before so I thought I'd post it here before giving this mockup(its not done) to the customer for review. Any CC is welcome.
I can't load the image.
Updated, forgot that I had to copy the public link.
are you rolling your own support system or going with whcms or some shit
It's HostBill he's using, and it looks like it has a few advantages over WHMCS from what I've seen on their site
Please improve on your Dutch, that's some cringe-worthy grammar and spelling.
Yeah I already noticed that, this is just a quick in between screen I posted, also changed the font on the top helper lines since those were different from the bottom one.
Looks like WHMCS
It's HostBill. It looks nothing like WHMCS.

It'd be kind of cool if the background was a 360 panorama that slowly scrolled by.
