Yea, I noticed that as well. But I want to have at least some difference between the boxes. Maybe a different pattern instead of color.
I think you might have misunderstood, the colours look fine in my opinion, but you have a background-color set on each of the divs, meaning that before the background images load you get a bright red and a bright green box, takes away from the effect a little.

What do you guys think?
Tone down the pattern a bit and use a tool like www.0to255.com to pick one colour and then progress down (or up) the colour scale for the backgrounds of your divs
I'm satisfied with the background colors I have now. Just need color for menu. Would be awesome to change the background of the menu based on what box is currently on screen. I have no idea how to do that tho.

What do you guys think of the menu? And is the horizontal scrolling justified in this case?

I think you need to have some kind of arrow button to move the user on to the next section.

The menu at the top left? :v:

Looks nice but quite laggy when moving. At least in Google Chrome/IE9.

It's really not obvious, I didn't even notice it or realize it was a menu until a later post.

How do you suggest I make it more obvious?

I'm working on a simple ticket system for a site i'm creating.

I'm not good with design so the menu bit looks bad until I can think of any way to make it look better:

I'm sorry, I have no suggestions.

Make the menu bigger on the first visit, force the user to interact with it. Like, don't show anything except that. Once that is done put it there where it is now. I would say that counts as "Educate your users."

i'm actually digging this, i like the menu but try changing around the red a little bit. mess around with it. good job C: (congratulations on somehow managing that)
in other news; http://techaos.com/delivery/
it looks baller as fuck on os x where on windows the fonts aren't exactly very good looking, especially the submit button, fuck if i know what went on there. oh and the form (and button) don't do anything yet because i'm lazy as fuck but i'll connect that to mailchimp shortly or something.d
[t]http://i.imgur.com/bml17.png[/t]
looks too bland and "my first design"
everything just seems too "puffed up" and padded, the top bar is too big and the buttons are unnecessarily large, and the contrast between the gray gradient and the blue just doesn't seem to jump out enough. everything just seems a bit drained and.. idk i'm trying to think of a way to describe it. it seems "sterile" like it doesn't really have an edge or accent to it, nothing really stands out i guess?

thank you, I agree on the red, and I also need a better separator than just a /
I'll have a play around and see what I come up with.

believe it or not, i kind of like the / separator. brings up my boner for 2003/2004-esque designed websites.

either that or a ~ something like:
[t]http://keyo.co/?i=_(SQX.png[/t]
probably without the magnifier icon though.

As said before, bigger menu + some kind of arrows which jumps to the next page?
Converted Tinyboard into a textboard.
Currently working on the styling with Twitter Bootstrap.
I'll report back with pictures (and a link)

That should be reversed and people could still upload images. I removed the image field and everything related to files. So, yeah.

"guys I made a div with some text with an inner shadow on it and a mailto form rate me artistic pls"
Is the menu more noticable now? I didn't test my page on higher resolutions yet so I didn't know it was floating so high above the content at bigger resolutions. Its way closer to the content now.
