Oh fuck it's 3D
Well, I forgot to post: The effect is -far- better in motion.
Well, I forgot to post: The effect is -far- better in motion.
Yeah, though with turn-based/low-rate movement in a low-detail (especially ASCII) first person view, it's really hard to tell where you're going. Do you have any ideas for how to improve that? Otherwise, might wanna add a minimap on the same screen. Unless that's intentional, given the maze part, of course.
Game Maker is actually pretty cool

This was just me being bored, ever since my mind has been spawning a few ideas related to claustrophobic, dark corridors and line-of-sight game mechanics tho. Oh wow the 64 bit webplayer actually works now.

Maybe just have the ball "light up" very briefly. [editline]edit[/editline] I just noticed the strength indicator changes. That works too but is a bit annoying because you have to hold down the button to see it. Other than that, it says "Development Build" for me.

Also, yes I don't know how to make the Web Plugin version stop saying that haha.
Oh fuck it's 3D
Up until your post I was convinced it was a lathe simulator. I don't even know how I arrived at that conclusion..
Took a stab at a the animation system [vid]http://blackwatch-int.com/programming_stuff/2015-05-12_03-44-03.mp4[/vid] There's some quirks I have to deal with later, but that's probably good enough for 4am :v:
I installed VS 2015 RC but I still get the same licence expiration notification. What.
I installed VS 2015 RC but I still get the same licence expiration notification. What.
I got it too after a day or so after the install, so I opened my account settings and hit the button that says "Check for an updated license". Now the license expires in 173 days :v:
I got it too after a day or so after the install, so I opened my account settings and hit the button that says "Check for an updated license". Now the license expires in 173 days :v:
I did that, it just says "licence downloaded successfully" and nothing happens.
I did that, it just says "licence downloaded successfully and nothing happens".
I had a similar problem on my system (with the Preview), except I couldn't update the license at all. That's why I'm back on VS 2013 Community now.
Oh fuck it's 3D
How the heck you guys didn't noticed this :v:
How the heck you guys didn't noticed this :v:
I admit, it took me a minute to realize it too, it's kinda hard without a video.
use visual studio to make a license disabler for visual studio
I did that, it just says "licence downloaded successfully" and nothing happens.
Mine's doing the exact same thing right now, I tried setting the date to two weeks into the future to try and provoke some kind of reaction, and it fixed my license, but when I changed the date back, it was back to being expired, so I'm assuming that once it rolls over it'll renew itself. I hope. Hopefully. :(
It's great, but there's an annoying bug. [vid]http://a.pomf.se/rmmtoq.mp4[/vid]
Oh no it looks like you really found a way to duplicate that bug. I'm not sure 100% what causes it and I thought I minimized how often it would occur. I'll keep looking into it, thanks! Edit: As I said before I had suspicions that this bug was caused by the physics changes between 4.6 and 5. So I reverted to my 4.6 version and made a weird mix between the old version and changes to the new version. Its live on Kongregate now and shouldn't have that bug anymore. If anyone played it a bit it would be great if you could let me know if things feel too different or if they are okay.
woop, pretty much done with this. I've just got a few more widgets to add [vid]https://a.pomf.se/kxztpn.mp4[/vid]
How the heck you guys didn't noticed this :v:
When I was watching the video I was like "Is this loading screen? The maze was there just a sec ago though." Then.. "Is he zoomin in/out or what?" then.. "Okay thats too complex for me" I realized it near the end Guess I'm too young to recognize 3D ASCII, my only ASCII experience was dwarf fortress :(
Cooking noodles, or at least sorta how it'll work. http://a.pomf.se/blnwcu.mp4 I'm trying to setup a system where each *bone* of the noodle can be cooked separately, allowing for things such as only cooking half the noodle. But I'm having difficulties freezing the rigidbodies enough for them to be solid as the video above. Which are simply two prefabs, an uncooked noodle, and a cooked noodle. And I simply swap between them, which could work, but for a true Noodle Simulator, I need a better system. If anyone has decent knowledge on Unity's Character Joints or joints in general, you can add me on Steam, or just leave a PM. Who knows, maybe you'll help me out.

Trippy stuff.
more progress on sprite animations! [vid]http://a.pomf.se/qeflis.mp4[/vid]
