Nice concept :)
It's awesome but you have to really enjoy the process to ever get to a level where you are writing good stuff. The learning curve is pretty big because you've got to learn the artsy music side of it AND the sciencey engineering side of it to get really good results. Expect to spend the first couple years hating most of the stuff you write haha.
To this day I usually like something for about a month and then I delete it because I'm ashamed of it :v: Very occasionally something slips through, I just let that sit on my SC and hope some day someone will like it.
I've been so consumed with Grid development over working on tutorials or creating assets for VA but I want Grid to be in a good place before I move on. It's doing pretty well, and about to break 100 stars on GitHub! A lot of recent work has been done by Ryan Kingstone and Polkm, so big thanks to them. I'm fleshing out the API docs and tutorials because I feel like this is the most important part of people using Grid, having good docs, and I've neglected it. So I'm fleshing out callbacks first. Some callbacks are self explanatory and have no parameters, though, so even when I provide an article for some things, it ends up not seeming to help a lot. Does this seem okay though? Any thoughts?
Looks good, but would use the window style of other objects for the Parameters bit.
You should add an example imo
This, so much. It really irks me when documentation doesn't include example code for each method. A lot of the time it's easy to figure out how it works, but occasionally it's not and having an example is incredibly helpful.
Hooray! Arbitrary mouse controlled cabling! Unfortunately its a tad broken in that cables can traverse outside the ship, but thats just life Or less of a clusterfuck: The layout of the current cable system doesn't matter, as long as an item is connected to the power network. Multiple different power networks can exist and that works just fine, but there's no visual way to distinguish between them. Its fun to make pretty cable layouts though, and I'm quite happy with how the rendering has turned out I've basically finished my uni degree now, so its spamming out the content for me. Expect a nauseating amount of space game in the near future
Guys, is it worth to leave college for 2k€ pay + percents (25%)? I am gonna be lead game developer. Mind that I need to go to college 2 more years before I get degree. Why can't I clone myself into two persons fuck...

Totally worth sticking it out just for the social aspect, even if you're not a huge fan of the course

Your degree and the prospects it gives you will always be there once you've earned it.
Writing a Unix-shell. Realized I wasn't waiting for the exit status of the programs I executed. Zombie processes everywhere!
I wish someone would write a feature-complete Bash shell, but actually written cleanly. I've tried to view the source code for bash in an attempt to visualize predictions, but I can't out find how lines are edited (or if they're even using readline)... [editline]17th May 2015[/editline] Visualize predictions as in show what would happen if you pushed tab.
This was an interesting blogpost from Wolfram, concerning their new ImageIdentify http://blog.stephenwolfram.com/2015/05/wolfram-language-artificial-intelligence-the-image-identification-project/
Expect a nauseating amount of space game in the near future
Completely okay with this.
Alright, I'm sort of okay with showing this at this point, anyone want to give it a spin? http://www.rbobev.com/AV/ I'll be making a separate thread for it in the coming days. Art is mostly placeholders (except the menus), name might not stay either :)

At least here in Germany you get paid vastly more if you have a university degree (and each one moves the pay range up considerably). Adding to that that you probably don't have to pay terribly much for education, there's no reason whatsoever to forfeit that. The pay also doesn't seem exactly high to me otherwise, but there's probably some difference between the average wages by country.
I think this is my first post here made a pathfinding thing gonna make a maze generator for it next

While definitely not agar.io level addictive, I might sink some time to this.

I'm seeing a bug where players sometimes don't get their country code properly and therefore you might see your flag as white on rare occasions - I'm looking into it, I think it's caused by the connection timing out sometimes. For now I'll set up a script to look for invalid countries and fix them periodically.

You don't want to know how much interns/student jobs are paid.
made a pathfinding thing gonna make a maze generator for it next
On the bottom it goes through the wall. You can get rid of this by not connecting diagonal nodes with a solid corner between them, making it unable to go through them. The path will then look something like this: Paint skills
Here the average working pay would probably be called "abusing interns for free labor" elsewhere. This is because my College is a bitch and won't allow them to pay me more then that.
late but:
Guys, is it worth to leave college for 2k€ pay + percents (25%)? I am gonna be lead game developer. Mind that I need to go to college 2 more years before I get degree. Why can't I clone myself into two persons fuck...
terrible pay, sirens should be going off here for the record, if you ever have the opportunity to leave college/uni for a job that pays on or above industry standard pay, jump ship. you will never map increased returns over a degree compared to above average salaries right out of the door except for this one instance (more commonly than not): it's not worth staying in any other case unless you're looking to do compsci + hardware studies or some highly specialized software engineering + other field that will land you in positions where you're doing work that requires several years of r&d or skunkworks which you can't attain without academic background or very high end portfolios

Whoa! I'm working now on a basic interpreter which will do basic math operations etc. Maybe I'll add something else in the future. By the way, I've done only lexical analysis part and from now I'm starting parsing part. Damn, for my whole life I thought lexical analysis is something very very hard thing to do. Ryan and I are gonna do some Grid and Vertex Adventure development for the rest of the day and show our process. He's working on nametags that I'll use in VA at the moment while I clean up some existing new code for v1.2.0. He also extended the Axis signin dialog to remember credentials, but I need to clean up the UI metrics, since the padding is off. I'll be fleshing out documentation some more, too. http://www.twitch.tv/andrewmcwatters
So I've been tinkering with the GTA 5 Video Editor files - here's a dump of some data from one of my project (.vid) files: [t]http://kirk.by/s/14d639b1225[/t] I'm keeping the source available here. I'm also looking at the raw clip (.clip) files, but I'm keeping that stuff closed-source until I've made more progress (right now I've got almost nothing on them.)
