I want to make something but I don't know what. Something really easy just so I get the feeling of "I did that"

555 timer as astable oscillator
produces both blinky LEDs and beeping speakers.
Are those Atmel AVR chips? And what do you do specifically, board assembly?
They are Atmega328AU's, and I'm an electronics technician apprentice
Dassa whole lotta Atmel.
393 pcs.

Yeh, i do believe you may well have. O.o

I don't see anything wrong there.
Why do you have a vacuum cleaner mounted to your desk ?
Soldering so many AVRs require relaxation.
That is why vacuum cleaner is perfect... to relax... :)
Ok, just kidding, I think it is to clean up stuff after soldering and all that waste that comes from soldering.

Needs more diodes.
I actually found something from TI: StarterWare
Here's what I came up with (it works every 2nd or 3rd time.. weird right?)
int spiWrite(uint8_t *tx, uint32_t length)
{
// cs line is forced to low state.
McSPICSAssert(spi, chNum);
// enable the spi channel for communication.
McSPIChannelEnable(spi, chNum);
while (length > 0)
{
McSPITransmitData(spi, (unsigned int)(*tx++), chNum);
length--;
unsigned int rx = McSPIReceiveData(spi, chNum);
}
// force cs line to the inactive state.
McSPICSDeAssert(spi, chNum);
// Disable the spi channel.
McSPIChannelDisable(spi, chNum);
}
There is more info about it here: StarterWare SPI
Not sure if the interrupt or DMA mode would work better than this?
Turns out I figured something right, a detailed post will follow later on.

RGB on X/Y Galvos yeah, here's the interface:

Hehe, this is actually awesome and looks like really neat to play with :)
If you had more lasers and galvos, could you project your whole display? (Of course with low res at first)

So kind of like one of these modules that are being used in pico projectors?

I remember talking to you about this ages ago man, good to see that it worked out for you in the end :)
So Im taking software engineering, yet all my classes are electrical engineering courses.
So Im taking software engineering, yet all my classes are electrical engineering courses.
I think skills are transferable anyway. And.. in the beginning probably everything is that way, later on they will teach you software.
Yeah Im assuming its more for the hardware aspect and knowing how a computer works. I am taking a C programming class, but at the moment it seems like a joke because the professor is taking forever to teach the basics of how to say "Hello Class". Right now, C seems to be a downgrade from C++.
Ooooh new ferrite; planning to wind a lovely HV Transformer on it:

Now Digitized!

It's a good basis because software doesn't just go on computers. The electronic stuff that is.

I must question how you broke a ruler like that...
I must question how you broke a ruler like that...
I can't seem to remember, likely just rolled over it on my chair or somthing, snapped along the middle.
as you can see on the ruler itself 'shatter resistant'... Myth busted.

Sort of right. Shattering is more of a brittle action whereas Breaking is not so much brittle and more of a wearing function.

Designed up the coilforms, hopefully one day i shall make them ;)
Fancy Picture! :D

Thats better, removed the forms between the core and the coils (the black things that were there) I wasn't actually going to use them, it was more for making it all fit on properly with the construct tools in the software.
