This is built in PHP/MySQL.
I built this completely from scratch, its main use is to monitor external servers, but it also shows the current stats of the monitoring server (as shown in the picture).
Cool.
Cool.
Mostly working now, apart from this pie chart still, anyone can give it a go if they'd like to test it out :)

Does it send my usage data to you?
Does it send my usage data to you?
It does not send any data to myself. It's something I've made that I may end up making open source anyway, but I'd like to get it completely tested first.
Enter fake details if you would like, although it does have email alerts enabled if you'd find them useful. (SMS are disabled)

Ah alright, the website made it appear as if the stats were send to your server and I'd check them through your website.

You are able to get 'advanced' stats like below:

To do this, you have to upload a separate file to the root of your website. Completely optional though.
How would I implement something like Svenskunganka's Micropanel onto a website? I suppose if I am asking this, I have no business using it, but

As I understand it, these are functions I would reference to using HTML.

As MicroPanel is far from complete, I cannot give you a full answer to that.
However, MicroPanel will come with its own design, so the only thing you would need to do is upload the files to your webserver, edit some settings and you're done.
I'm trying to make a responsive website, but I'm having some really really basic issues.
I have 1 div that's the size of 2 smaller div's. Though for whatever reason the two smaller divs wont sit next to eachother inside the big div. Even though padding and margin are 0.
I put the problem in a JSFiddle to demonstrate: http://jsfiddle.net/vjLRs/1/
I'm probably missing something really obvious, or it's something more tricky.
Add a Float to one of the small divs.

The problem is that in your markup when you add a new line it adds a space. So there is extra space between.
You have to format it like this so that it works:

Recommended hosting? Would like some cheapish but still decent one, since I'm a student and also need to supply myself in some months.

Am I correct reading overload is unlimited storage and bandwidth for $6 every month?
Also can you buy domains and throw onto it or would you need an entire new plan?
(Forgive me for only have had one host before so I'm not very familiar with it :v:)

oh wow that $5.95/36mo plan comes with domain. :v:
also it's saying it's equivalent to $5.95/mo, but you have to pay the full price.

I just did the math and the 6/36 is 360 DKK yearly which is what I'm currently paying for a 5GB host.. So I guess Lithium is a win for me?
But I meant if I buy the 6/36 (overload) with a domain, say test.com and I decide one day I want to get test2.com - can I just buy that domain and throw it o to my already paid plan 6/36 or would I need to buy another one of those?

"also it's saying it's equivalent to $5.95/mo, but you have to pay the full price." - what do you mean exactly?

buy it from a registrar (website that sells you domains) and just throw it at your webserver.
[editline]2nd October 2013[/editline]
you have to pay $214.20 USD all at once. $5.95 * 36 months is $214.20
overload is $8.95 USD/ month if you want to actually pay monthly.
$95.40 USD/year
$166.80 USD/2 years
$214.20 USD/3 years

Wow lithium seems quite awesome, does it also have it's own webmail or what it's called, I can't remember right now but like something@domain.com
[editline]2nd October 2013[/editline]
Also the plans pay monthly and that suits me fine since I earn some hundred bucks a month I don't think paying 5-10 bucks monthly will be a big deal :)

Pretty much every webhosting has it (with more or less quantity, but AFAIK they have it infinite or very big). Lithium does too.

You can access through your control panel, yes. You can also receive and send email from your favorite email program such as thunderbird or outlook.
Awesome, I think I'll move to the overload plan soon! Thank you FP!

This is sort of relevant to web development. I will be having multiple people access a NAS for server information storage and backup (MySQL would handle the backups), and want to have permissions. So, how easy would it be to separate the drive into different portions, using permissions, to be accessed. I haven't been able to test it fully, though I have set permissions using FreeNAS before, it was finicky... It would probably be a combination of using the FreeNAS interface, and some general connection authentication.
Otherwise if all else fails, I will reboot it with Linux and use it as an FTP. The current drivers are having issues booting from CD/USB at the moment though.. I did something weird with the computer several years ago to make it compatible with booting through USB (ugh, it's from 2000, and uses RDRAM :v). Oh, well, I have a live CD that uses a custom boot loader that can boot through pretty much anything.

This is irrelevant now, and I am using Robocopy instead.

Hi, I'm playing around with javascript and trying to get classes to work.
I've got an class I've created called 'MovingBlock', here's the code I created:
// Moving Object Class
function MovingBlock(x, y, image) {
//attributes
this.x = x;
this.y = y;
this.image = image;
}
MovingBlock.prototype.draw() = function () {
drawImage(this.x, this.y, this.image);
};
MovingBlock.prototype.update() = function () {
this.x++;
if (this.x > c.width)
this.x = -this.image.width;
};
I'm creating an instance of that class and for some reason when it comes to calling the 'draw' method I'm getting this error:
"Uncaught ReferenceError: Invalid left-hand side in assignment"
for the line:
MovingBlock.prototype.draw() = function () {
and also for some reason the error:
"Uncaught TypeError: Object #<MovingBlock> has no method 'update' "
Could anyone give me a hand here?
Im trying to make a new homepage for myself, and I had thought of a mutation of about.me and windows metro, so you would have an hd image in the background then a white semitransparrent overlay and then at the top some text and my name, and at the bottom some "tiles" with links to stuff like GitHub, ...
But I couldn't really get it looking nice, so instead I went for a more metro look with just the description at teh top, I got the look that I was going for but im not really sre I like it any more.
Can I get some opinions?

The idea is to have a small description under the name, then on the right side column stuff like education, work, location... like About.me has. The tiles would ideally have the logo of the service they were pointing at or something and be completely clickable, like if it were a program you were going to start up.

You might want to use some different colours or at least play around with them a bit more they don't really seem to fit. As for the coloured buttons, If you're going to use icons in the blocks you might want to align the text vertically
That's my opinion at least.
Alright then, I finally get to change my shitty hosting this month so I need some suggestions.
Here's what I need:
- Privacy conscious
- Offers shared, vps and dedicated hosting
- Doesn't recuire paypal or something similar
Any ideas?
