[t]http://i.imgur.com/vyR3X0l.jpg[/t] Got new PBR characters, weapons for a better looking demonstration (excuse the temporary animation for that crowbar, using 2H placeholders at the moment). Stamina and health systems are in. Bleeding in the works. SpeedTree integration is getting done, but I'm a bit concerned about file size since it appears I have to include these massive TGA normal/atlas/billboard files for each of the variations. If I can't get around this, I might have to settle for using around 10 greens, 10 autumns and 10 winter/dead assets and call it a day across all my environments.
Hey, I keep getting compiler errors when running projects through Unity 5, but not Unity 4. How is that? Also, doors and switches are not longer behaving properly.
Messing around in Unity makes me very happy. The only other creative games related environment I've worked in is Hammer and the Source Engine. It's so nice being able to just import models without messing with QC files and model compiling.
I just started trying to get to know Unity for the first time and now I FINALLY have something to use my university's free web space for http://www.unf.edu/~n00912194/
Neat! What song is that?

i just spent like 5 hours today modelling this weapon, making 1 animation, and trying to figure out why the hell my animation wasnt working
So I'm hyper new to Unity. I know literally nothing about modeling, scripting, rigging, any of that. the most I did was replace Ethan with an MMD model I had and walk around a bit. Can someone tell me how to fix the hands, legs, skirt, and possibly get a third person camera working? really laggy video of said model in action. Does anyone know of any low poly art websites or albums? I need to be inspired
Whats the best way to do pop up menus? With a canvas and UI elements or the GUI library?

Anyone got any ideas how I can liven up this scene? Also, is there a way to blender textures together? So I can give the ground a bit of depth and variety
Lighting would help, make it seem like its midday

[t]http://i.imgur.com/7nMemMl.png[/t] Decided to work a bit on scenery. Came up with this shot I must say I liked it!
Looks nice but the CA is really over the top. First impression was that it was an anaglyph 3D screen.
when you notice that the torso has a wrong pivot you edit it to be correct [vid]http://a.pomf.se/reojdb.mp4[/vid] and you accidentally create quasimodo what's the best way to create 2D player movement? like it works fine when I'm using a Rigidbody with 0 gravity and high linear drag, because then the character doesn't float off to infinity. but if I want to add jumping too, it doesn't work too good, because I have to manipulate gravity to simulate jumping... Has anyone done a 2D sidescroller with 4 directions instead of 2 and added jumping?
[vid]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/251205348/2015-03-20_15-05-32.mp4[/vid] Took me too much, but i did animations and a basic character [sp](My imagination doesn't have limits...[/sp]
Is it possible to play sounds like music while the game is paused (timescale set to 0)?

Rig the skirt with the legs or animate them
Rig the skirt with the legs or animate them
But I didn't make the model or the animations. I just replaced the sample thirdperson controller model with this model and let automap rig the thing. Can someone please explain how to do this?
He did. If you don't have the skills required to do what you need, then you're a bit out of luck.

On topic; I'm starting to hang around with Unity 5 new stuff. Definitely like the new GI effects and AO stuff that wasn't in the free version. But now it's going to be bothersome if we have to fix some stupid crap that was broke during the transition from unity 4.6 to 5.
Do you guys have a strong opinion on SendMessage? I really need to use it in my current project for reasons, but everywhere I look I see people bashing it. Facepunch generally seems better than the Unity forums for stuff like this.

If you don't use it on every frame it should be fine.
