You can't ever learn a programming language without a little persistence and patience. Switching tools is not gonna make the road any easier. I bet everyone here who is somewhat proficient in C++ has at some point encountered that error, or one similar to it and overcome it, regardless of their choice of compiler. The error in the picture is not MSVC exclusive.
