Yeah this is pretty great, a bunch of my friends on Steam have gotten confused already.
only two people have commented on my avatar
Valve will react one of two ways:
* Limit the number of times in one minute that you can change your avatar
* Allow gifs

Probably with point one.
Allowing gif is something I wouldn't expect from any company especially valve.

They do already allow gifs in newer things like the artworks.
The uploading system for avatars however, seems to be a bit outdated.
I kind of released this to make it come to their attention.
My CMD goes so fast, all the .gif files has combined into one single image and is now my static avatar

IT WORKS HOLY SHIT
[editline]9th January 2016[/editline]
So many dicks!
the avatar system already horribly compresses everything anyway
[editline]9th January 2016[/editline]
works perfectly

I guess it's not a good idea to speed it up? Breakin' the system or some shit
probably wouldn't break anything, but would it work? i don't know how to recompile this
I don't even know what CSS or Html is

seems like it changes quite fast actually, but waits for the operation to complete (or fail) before trying to change it again
I think it's time to spin this up a little

Gonna have to turn this into a smaller .gif
I think it's time to spin this up a little

but like 8 times slower
I guess it's not a good idea to speed it up? Breakin' the system or some shit
to speed that up you'd need to be able to upload the avatars very quickly and over time maybe if it would be possible build up a buffer so that multiple avatars are being uploaded at the same time but avatar1 has a higher priority that avatar2
(I have no idea what I'm talking about)
in my experiment it just cycled through the avatars I have very quickly.

I swear someone posted a tool like this a year or two ago, so unless i'm an idiot they took option 3
"This app cannot run on your computer." Hrmm. I dun goofed? Followed the tutorial to the button.

This is the issue I have right now. Is this what I should be putting in? Did I just get the map wrong? I followed the tuts, and I'd love some help.
Really cool that you came up with this :'3

Ahh, I fixed it, thanks for the heads up.
App cannot run on my computer

Windows 8, 64bit myself. I think it's a 64bit thing?

Running Windows 10 Pro 64 here, works fine
I'll try installing the 32-bit one cause I have the 64.
If it's VCRUNTIME140.dll that you're missing, install this: https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=48145
Try installing 32-bit as well if installing 64-bit alone doesn't fix it.
Windows 8.1 64-bit for me, works fine right off the bat.
Same issue sadly.
Nah. Didn't fix anything. I'm not getting the VCRUNTIME thing, it's just saying it doesn't work on my computer and that's that.
Doesn't work on mine either, Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 won't even install.
Pretty neat, if there was a way to make it a tiny bit faster that'd be great
Found the reason. Well, someone on reddit did. On github you click on the files then press 'view raw' to download them, not right click and save as.

Valve won't be happy about this
