Steam Avatar Rotation - Developers

doesn't appear to work for me, seems to run way too fast.

Nevermind it was my firewall blocking it.

Is it re-uploading it every time, or does it choose an existing backup from the Steam database? The pictures may be less than a half megabit, but still...

You upload the image every time, but I'm pretty sure it only actually stores duplicates once using a checksum.

When just using a changing color, like the guy in the picture is, you don't really notice how ugly and inconsistent it is though. Also, make sure you do steamid64, sessionid then steam logon. If you do it in the wrong order or malform it ( even adding one letter too much breaks it ), this error might also appear.

For everyone where it runs too fast, do the same thing like with the sample frames, rename them that way using a bulk renamer and set a delay, else it just skips everything because its so fast. [editline]10th January 2016[/editline] Also if you have a folder for avatars like I do make a copy if the folder and do it there if you don't want to change file names to the original.

They have to be in the same folder as the executable. I assume it's a bug because it correctly scans the folder in the specified location, but it forgets the folder and tries uploading with just the filename relative to itself.

Check if you can upload a avatar through your profile settings, otherwise - maybe try using it again later.

Logging out of the website and deleting the session cookie to force a change didn't help. Worked after I revoked all devices from steam guard on my phone. Steam is weird. Any chance we can change the speed? My file size is extremely small but I feel like it's only updating every 5 seconds or so
