It gets better... I rewrote it to take a markov chain with a memory of any length (aka, how many characters it uses to determine the next character)
I have it a list of 5,163 U.S. Census first names (male and female) and a memory of 3... (excuse the all uppercase, that's how the list was formatted and I'm too lazy to change it...)

No clue yet. A lot of random gen for my game - names, cities, etc.
I added words, but they're a little half-baked (only does one word memory so far). This is based off of 266 'inspirational quotes':

There we go! It fetches my public IP from [URL="http://51.254.129.74/ip.php"]a php script i wrote[/URL] and uploads it to [URL="http://51.254.129.74/~anon/ip.txt"]a public ip.txt file[/URL]
The FTP server is up again, just connect to the IP from the ip.txt and if it drops you, wait a few minutes until the IP updates and fetch it again from the ip.txt file.

Decided to ditch dynamically changing host_framerate because it was unreliable, sometimes still you would go too fast because it wasn't catching up to the changing FPS.
So I did what I initially considered to do but didn't know how - put an actual FPS cap, which would be working when host_framerate isn't 0. I remember Bunnyhop XT injector hooking on one of the engine's functions to ensure the cap, but it's too unpleasant to pull off just with the HL sources. Instead of this I realized that I still have the access to SDL handle and added proper delays. It works almost flawlessly, always locking the game on 100 FPS and it leaves you without worrying about constant changing of host_framerate. Here's some more slowmo gameplay, I really enjoy shooting troops' grenades which are really fucking annoying sometimes.
