If you're not aware, Unreal Engine's source code is published via adding licensees (i.e. everyone who accepts the license agreement, since it's gone free) to Epic Games' GitHub organisation and then its "developer community" team (which gives you access to the private UnrealEngine repository). Apparently if you fork this, you can then give the entire "development community" team write access. Which automatically subscribes them to email notifications about issues/pull requests/comments etc. So now there's a GitHub comment thread that's basically Twitch chat except every message sends an email to ~20,000 people. Aaaaand it's gone. Just as I was about to crash the party by force-pushing an empty repo over it. Aww. [editline]26th July 2016[/editline] Someone did it again, so...

Watch out Berkin, Rant's getting competition. (I also recommend checking out the rest of the SIGTBD agenda)
Chuck Tingle's about to get some serious competition with minimal effort, it seems.
When you beautifully write class and then it doesn't fit in existing code.

In my experience, it's not just the commit messages. It's the commits themselves too. [T]http://i.imgur.com/Adnz4v1.jpg[/t]

open your eyes! it can't be late, it wasn't even posted this year in this thread. it was posted in LMAO pics a couple of days ago though, that's where I stole it from.
If it was on LMAO pics, its gone mainstream, therefore it aint no "programming joke"
But isn't that implying that everyone that browses this thread also browses LMAO pics? That might not be the case you know.
Jesus and Satan were having an ongoing argument about who was better on his computer. They had been going at it for days, and God was tired of hearing all of the bickering. Finally God said, "Cool it. I am going to set up a test that will run two hours and I will judge who does the better job." So down Satan and Jesus sat at the keyboards and typed away. They moused. They did spreadsheets. They wrote reports. They sent faxes. They sent e-mail. They sent out e-mail with attachments. They downloaded. They did some genealogy reports. They made cards. They did every known job. But ten minutes before their time was up, lightening suddenly flashed across the sky, thunder rolled, the rain poured and, of course, the electricity went off. Satan stared at his blank screen and screamed every curse word known in the underworld. Jesus just sighed. The electricity finally flickered back on, and each of them restarted their computers. Satan started searching frantically, screaming, "It's gone! It's all gone! I lost everything when the power went out!" Meanwhile, Jesus quietly started printing out all of his files from the past two hours. Satan observed this and became irate. "Wait! He cheated! How did he do it?" God shrugged and said, "Jesus saves."
