Might be a good idea, I'm currently busy with many things so I don't have much time to do all the things I want to do.

OK, Next Question. Who wants to port props?
I would, however I have no experience in such matters. Sorry!
O.o Rage rips? Never thought I'd see the day... glad I was wrong there.

Yeah, We haven't really worked on this in a while. I'm still waiting on Cookie to re-install RAGE Toolkit. Once he's got that done we can extract a few things and begin to outsource work to other users.
We've got most of the vehicles done, Which is a start and we we're working on multiplier skins for each vehicle such as Army, Civilian, Bandit, Rusty..
Oh nice, no rush I can understand how frustrating it can be especially with bethesda made stuff :P
[[Also Dissolution not sure how that was dumb but what ever.. ]]

Well, This wasn't technically Bethesda but unforgivably from what i'm told Bethesda is dissolving id Studios because this was their first project under their iron fist to show what they could do..
But i can agree with Bethesda made products they are extremely annoying to mod or even port objects. I remember porting brotherhood of steel armor after it was released! it worked for the better part but it was annoying how long it took them to create a creation kit. Skyrim is basically a modification of the same engine use for Fallout 3, granted it does have some useful updates in areas..
As for Dissolution he has a habit of randomly dumb voting along with Rinfect and a few other users on this section and generally most of Facepunch if you're the bold type and explore past this section!
will loosum hagar be worked on :v:
I've searched for Loosum's textures with no luck. I looked for quite a while actually. What are the models wanted most from the game? I can post some.

I thought ID Studios did fine?.. I honestly liked rage but who knows with bethesda anymore :P
Alright on the whole dumb down thing just thought it was weird :\.
So 3dsmax is being a bitch and the view ports are not working. I'm willing to hand over the vehicle sources to anyone capable of rigging.
I was just continuing the search for many of the textures that don't appear in the toolkit where I would expect to find them. I still couldn't find the textures for Loosum. So I did some reading the in the toolkit help files and found where the developers said they've removed some assets. That's kind of shitty if you ask me. They advertise the toolkit saying you've got access to virtually all the tools and assets the developers had, yet they remove a lot of the ones you'd want.

Actual to read alot of the content in RAGE you've got to mount it and even then it isn't always going to work. I manage to mount almost everything before the toolkit failed on me.

I have both the game and creation kit, but I cant seem to find all the models. I've ported shit for HAWKEN, BLR and PS2 for my own self for the hell of it...but I can't seem to find all the assets for RAGE. I'd be willing to throw out raw models, esp for the authority, if I could figure out how to find them.

Oh, The models aren't all there in the toolkit. I actual had to do a bit of side work to get them.
[editline]15th June 2013[/editline]
I've updated the OP Post. RAGE Blender Scripts are now on the first page.
so if I just want to export the weapons models or the ones on vehicles, can I just using the Rage toolkit to do it?? or do I also need the Blender Scripts to do it? thanks!!
Keith -- No need to post the same question in two threads.
I've obtained a lot of rage models including characters, weapons, and vehicles. The tool kit has uncompressed tga files for many, but not all, models in the game. There is a quick BMS script to unpack the .resources archives and a blender import script for the b6models or whatever the file type was.

thanks!! may be in a month times I might be able to participate your operation... I am a decent 3d modeler and 3d animator, some VFX too, but I have no experiences in game related stuffs, so if may be in the future, you can be so kind to tell me the "procedure", I might be able to help out, at least on the labor side and you guys can focus on the smart stuff, plus i would gain knowledge through this exercise, cause I want to write games some days :)
So I'm trying to pull out some of the Models from RAGE. I've got Blender 2.49b and I'm trying to run the script, obviously getting that "unpack requires a string argument of length 4".
Dragbody you mentioned a BMS script that unpacks .resources, no idea what that means. How does one get around that pesky error in blender?

this is what i was told by sims_doc when doing some private stuff, he said that there is a bunch of files already pre-extracted that will need to be loaded by the blend or maxscript that he had made and that you'll need to get the textures from the toolkit.

Right, which is exactly what I've been trying to do. Only Blender gives me a Python Error by using that script. The exact error is:
struct.error: unpack requires a string argument of length 4.
I'll either get that one, or a MemError.
