I agree with SZK to a point.
Was it a bad thing to go 3D? No. But I personally think to turn a 2D character into a semi-realistic 3-D model is a bit of a good thing. I mean was it cool that some were super small or "Oh my god he must be on super steriods :zoid:" but I like things that are semi realistic. Also the model looks great but I personally never really liked Cammy.
what, that streetfighter in 3d is dumb?
..hm well didn't they release an HD version of the orginal SF2 on xbox360 arcade?
I think capcom did a good job of pleasing both sides. although I agree that the models in SF4 aren't the best, but the engine is incredible.
now with the SF4 modding tools, it should be to hard to make our own version of the models :P
only a matter of time until we can inject whole new models into the game, much like we do in gmod.
Yeah I want Bison Ryu Ken and Saget
Or however his name is spelt
any grammer nazi help?
I never said I hate 3d. I just dislike the style they used in Street Fighter IV for certain characters. Also, 3D = non-MUGEN compatible. lololol
SZK that makes alot of sense
The style of 3D they used. Make more sense now? As in, the look. I guess you could say it's mainly the outrageous expressions, and akward character structure for certain characters, like many of the females. The eyes also bother me a bit. Too caffineated for some of them. Not sure if that's the correct spelling, but it's close enough to make a point. In Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, the expressions and character structure look more like they used to in the sprite games, and I prefer that to Street Fighter IV. I'm not saying it was a bad game, nor am I saying I hate it or its graphics. It's just, they aren't my personal preference. If that doesn't make sense, I'm not gonna try and explain it further, as I'd only end up making it more confusing.
By the way SZK your kinda bringin the thread off topic.
