Why would you pay for those, when you can make decently similar (and equally high-resolution ones) for free, with the program Spacescape:
I did not know about this, I wish I had known like three hours ago before I had painted one. Thanks for the resource.
I did not know about this, I wish I had known like three hours ago before I had painted one. Thanks for the resource.
Of course. However, you should be aware that the order that Spacescape exports skyboxes in is not the same order that Source uses for skyboxes. I detail how to convert Spacescape skyboxes to Source skyboxes in this post.
Awesome job Lt_C! I can see you working full time in the game or movie industry very soon! This is how you get noticed. Keep it up!
The first and last were custom made for a film this model was a part of, the middle was a map I made (shown in the video), I got the skybox from gamebanana. The film skybox comes from this site, I think he charges like $10 a pop for them.
What about the hangar map in the video? WiP?
What about the hangar map in the video? WiP?
It's got way too much unfinished content to release. To see if it was doable as an addon this release, I did a bsp zip and it hit 500+MB and wouldn't open. Furthermore, all my maps are incompatible with gmod's older bsp versions, and the vmf's crash any version of hammer that'd compile for it. I partially don't want to have to go through all the trouble of releasing it alone just to field a thousand requests to make it gmod compatible. I'll most likely release the maps as part of a huge 'as is' release in the future though.
Can someone who's posed someone sitting in one of the pilots seats perhaps post a photo of how they did it? I can't for the life of me figure out how to fit someones legs in there properly. [editline]20th May 2014[/editline] Wait, I may of figured it out.

The soles of the shoes should be pushing against the front grill, knees mostly unbent. You may have some minor unseen clipping and will likely have to nocollide - the physics model is good for reference but like with most models with interiors, it's kind of hit or miss for posing. 3:35 in the video has a reference as well.
are you going to be releasing the map in the trailer?
