Can you say High-Poly?
High-Poly
It is seriously high poly as this quote by its creator shows:
VERY high poly is the only way to describe it really. 3dsMax 'File properties' says Vertices-572815 & Faces-564009. That's without wheels, tyres, interior etc.

That is SEXY. If only we could have that in gmod. FUKKIN NON-NEXT GEN SOURCE ENGINE
At 500,000 polys for just the body I don't think you could get something like this in a real time game for another two generations at least.
Please make this, I could really use it. Will this be drivable? If it is would it be possible to get a prop version?

What do you think this thread is about? Read the first post, I already said that this is coming to gmod and it will be drivable, make sure to check all the available infomation before you post.
That information just slipped by me. I was just asking if you were making a prop version that's all.

Every vehicle model can be used as a prop, it just won't be animated. Personally I find it better to spawn the vehicle rather than just use the un-animated prop in films or comics, even when they are in the background. I won't be doing a version without wheels or anything like that.
is that charger purple or blue? looks purple.... (i suppose it was the "Crazy Plum" limited edtion one or somthing
is that charger purple or blue? looks purple.... (i suppose it was the "Crazy Plum" limited edtion one or somthing
I think it's blue in the first one and purple in the next. He did a range of colours and configurations including a dragster, General Lee and the Dodge Charger from Dirty Mary Crazy Larry.
Well It's just that I always use the prop versions of vehicles in my stop motion stuff, because they are much easier to move.
Car looks great.
I'll hope the interior will be sexy. i'm tired of lowres first person view in cars.
also try to make the player model sit on the seat :)!

I will make the interior as detailed as I can (within polygon limits) and I will probably ask kuno86 or Sgt.Sgt about vehicle rigging so that I don't mess anything up.
Now that Evocity2 is out, and we have heard nothing about gm_stormchase, then this is the next thing to be hyped up.

Lets just hope it doesn't become as belated as either of those ;)
I should hopefully have some updated images of the rear end very soon.
And here they are:

Next I will add the licence plate area and the small push bars.

Heh maybe if I do a Dukes of hazzard version, maybe.
I'm thinking I may make a custom licence plate but I'm not sure at the moment. Also I fixed the image for you.
Will this have more than one texture, or will it just have one?

i think the list is somthing like black, red, orange and somthing else (orange being the general lee :D)
i think the list is somthing like black, red, orange and somthing else (orange being the general lee :D)
Red
Orange
Black
Silver
Dark Blue
Purple
There may be some others but these are the confirmed colours.
If I do make a General Lee version then it will probably be a separate model since there are a lot of differences (Bullbar, CB radio, American Racing 'Vector' Rims, Rollcage etc)
good to see someone modelling cars that actually knows what they're doing.

I have some good news, Thunderskunk has given me FakeFactory's studioMDL compiling tools which should (I repeat should) allow me to jack up the poly count on this model from a limit of 25,000 up to 50,000. Hopefully when I do my high detail pass of the model after getting all the basic details done It should look really smooth.
Awesome. Can't wait to see the progress pics.

No sorry but that's because I've been revising for my driving theory test.
Which I passed (49 out of 50, damn almost perfect). On to the practical next.
