 - Change alyx's animations so that instead of going through the windscreen she slides over the bonnet dukes of hazzard style and goes in through the side window.
Oh hellz yeah, that would be sweet
In Europe we have this:
We have that in America too!
It has a clicking mechanism that locks it down. You pull a lever, or push a button to release it. All american cars have them, but only manual cars are they needed.
All American cars? My 87 Camaro has a hand brake like every other car I've ever been in. Handbrake + frozen streets = fun :D Sry, back to topic. Yeah looks good... etc
Another update for you, the current polycount is 21,436: The front end is now pretty much finished and I will start working on the side details.
Good job man! Can't wait for the release.
any updates Master Chris?
Yep, I've finished the sides: Now I'm going to add the doors.
awesome!
I'm going on holiday in a week so the model is going to be delayed while I'm away, I will still be able to work on it until I leave and I should be able to finish the modeling itself but texturing, rigging and animation will have to wait until I get back.
GlaDOS: "Once again, excellent work." I've said this and I'll say it again, this is probably one of the best handmade car models that I have seen. And the Charger is my favorite muscle car, so this will be an excellent addition to the Source engine. Keep it up, Chris!
21,500ish polycount? Is that good? The model looks pretty good, and I can't wait to see the skinning!
21,500ish polycount? Is that good? With the old wheels I used to have the total polycount was over 25,000 and that was before I had even added the rear lights! I've reduced polycount wherever I can without making it look lowpoly.
Brum Brum..... :3
Side mirrors and door handles done:
Excitment is building, i wanna be able to drag race that and the mustang
ill take you up on that :D we'll meet in a server somewhere.
WOW!!! It looks more awesome now!!!
WOW!!! It looks more awesome now!!!
It's about to get a bit more awesome: Fuel cap is done and I've made some tweaks to the roofline.
God bless America. If it wasn't for the rise in fuel cost Charger would be a nice car to buy. It still is. Just the older models are more for collection and less for driving around as a regular use car.
The door handles look a bit too square and the fuel cap pops out too much in my opinion. Care to enlighten us as to why you did it that way? Maybe there's something I'm not seeing, here.

Maybe there's something I'm not seeing, here.
I only have a limited amount of polygons to work with so I can't really make it that much smoother until I have a better understanding of the limits of the compiler. Mariokart64n has had success compiling models up to 52,000 polygons by using multiple SMDs. I may be able to go this high (although it is unlikely I will need to) if I use bodygroups in the same way as the fueled mod vehicles, when the interior and all final details have been added I will do a test compile to see how high I can go, if it compiles OK then I will smooth off more of the body where necessary. As for the fuel cap I have made the rim slightly smaller since posting the images but it's very close to the real one, it does stick out quite a lot. I may do some further editing tomorrow. Alrighty, sounds good. I understand fully now, thank you.
ill take you up on that :D we'll meet in a server somewhere.
Your on, But one rule.. On one of my maps :v:
What part are you working on now?
Small details like fuel cap and separating the doors from the rest of the car.
