Yes but probably not in the first version, you will just need to use bodygroups at first until a script can be written to play an animation upon turning on the lights.

You thought what! :monocle:

Anyway back to business, the final tweaks have been made to the charger's handling and a test video should be out tomorrow. It may also show some of the other things I've been working on.

AWESOME! Considering how much you've gotten done, do you think you can pin down an estimated release date?
Also, what did you think of my car parts? You can ignore the shelby, It's merely a shelf upon which I rest my engine.

It will be after my films release, so after the 4th of december. I can't say exactly how long it will take to make it completely releasable. It depends on how much I want to fix before I release, I may just release it as it is and then fix it afterwards as an update.

whats the song to the video chris
Oh god I fucking love it. Nice music choice too.
Oh, and might want to edit the OP. November 18th is long past. :v:
the final tweaks have been made to the charger's handling
I know this is kind of silly but how realistic does it handle
I mean we don't necessarily want a charger that handles like a civic :v:
I literally said "Woah" out loud when i watched the video, awesome job Chris. and mad driving skillz.
EDIT: How dare you use Gm_bigcity, i thought of that! (See City Drive Video)
Sorry but there are very few good city maps which are also good for driving in.

Done.

That would be unthinkable! Don't worry it won't, I've been testing it in game and it's very fun to drive. In my opinion it's easier to handle than the Shelby but as you can see from the video it can still pull off some nice maneuvers. I wouldn't say it handles like a stock charger though, the suspension is a lot stiffer but if you want I could make a more realistic version with more body roll to release later.
Sorry but there are very few good city maps which are also good for driving in.
Its all good, i was only joking.
Man it looks fantastic, makes me want to model a car, I havent modeled one before might be a good experiment for me.
The only thing about it that irks me is that the windows aren't transparent. Also, I love how you can perform the reverse swing transfer maneuver. (Where you are in reverse, then you swing the car around and continue forwards)
The only thing about it that irks me is that the windows aren't transparent.
Yes I agree with you on that, since it's my first time making new textures the $translucent vmt command has been jerking me around a lot, usually making the entire car transparent. I think that really the windows need to be on their own texture to work correctly, however since the interior is not going to be viewed in this film I decided that it wasn't necessary to see inside. This is one of the things I am hoping to fix before releasing the vehicle to the public.

EDIT: Disagree? You faggots.
If only I had known that beforehand.
Must...have...
How close are we?

I wouldn't mind tuning one myself actually
do you know how close the spring rates are to the real thing or anything like that
do you know how close the spring rates are to the real thing or anything like that
Umm.... no. I just keep tuning vehicles until the handle right, I don't really pay attention to what the exact values are, some I don't even know what they do :downs:

looks orgasmically amazing definently on the edge of my seat for this!
Can't wait, the second I see a download link for this I'm getting it, great work!

Yes it will, everything in the trailer was done without the aid of thrusters or physics prop editing. Of course it depends on how good a driver you are
