:( Haha. No. Right now it has the 383 Magnum. But with headers and a big Holley. I plan on taking the motor out and finding a 440. :)
If you make a Pontiac GTO, you should make it a 1969 GTO Judge

I prefer the 1967 model, the later ones still look good but I still like the first generation models better.
Also I'm back to modelling again but it's a bit on off at the moment due to some homework I have to do over the holidays. Hopefully I'll post some new images soon and that second sound sample should also be ready fairly soon aswell.
Also, :siren:HAPPY NEW YEAR!:siren:

Update:
The rear wheel well is now done and so are the side gills (or whatever they're called):

The rear end now needs to be detailed and finished off, after that the roof and window detail will be done and then I will do the wheels. I will probably release a beta version without the interior so that you can have something a bit sooner, a version with the interior will of course be finished but obviously it will take longer.
I've not put any fail safe or protection on the scripts, I didn't even know that was possible.
Are you changing the name of the performance script? If so then you need to change the spawning script to load the different performance script. What exactly is it you've changed and to what values? If you've added any lines to the script that's likely to break it.
Edit:
1) The Dodge Charger Daytona is almost exactly the same, plus it means I don't have to model a new car from scratch.
2) That method seems a bit complex, even for an experienced coder. There is a simpler method which I think has already been done and that is to make a swep that you aim at the car and it unlocks and locks it, you can even do that with console commands: ent_fire !picker unlock/lock, it also works on doors.
Ok, but get a view model and a key that is parented to the door when activated. I FEED ON AESTHETICS! :chef:

Coding, as I have said many times before, is not my strong point. Perhaps you should request this in the lua section, I could make a view model but I have never coded anything from scratch and so I couldn't do any of the actual STool or SWep stuff. I could learn it but i'm too busy for that right now.
383 isn't a slouch though. :)
Eh, no point having the weight of a big block if you aren't taking full advantage of the possible displacement.

We are getting off topic, can we save this chat about engines for another time. No one seems to have noticed that I've posted an update to the model.
Nice Update. As I said earlier, the finished/front part looks really good, keep up the good work.
Please only release it with the interior done as well. Noone hates not being able to see someone else's vehicle when you SHOULD both have the same model, but one has the interior and one hasn't (Oh, and you don't have the model the other player has).

The model without an interior would have a different name so it wouldn't conflict with the model that has an interior. Also I've decided that the beta model would only be given to friends for testing purposes if I do release one at all.
Also I'm just deciding on what wheels to give it, I'm thinking 5 spoke wheels, similar to the torq thrust:

Does everyone agree that this would look good?
Yeah do those. They look similar to the Charger's stock ones.
^
They had painted steel wheels or something like Magnum 500s stock.
But I believe Torque Thrusts would look good. No, great.
This looks similar to the car from CSI:Atlantis (SGA 05x19). But I am not a car person so it's probably a different car manafacturer

That's a Chevy Camaro, probably 1979 model year. It's quite different to my 1969 Dodge Charger.

Good example of stock wheels. Sorry if you're you're not interested.

Just an idea...
What about porting a car from another game in?

No that's a good pic, thanks. However I still think I will go with a wheel more closely resembling the torq thrust, I just really like that one.

Nah, as luch174 said...

Thanks, where is this sound? If it's good enough I may consider it for use in the Dodge.
i was thinking on my car of having smoke out the exhaust? can it be done?
You could either use a particle emitter and weld it to the car if you just want something quick. Otherwise a script like VU-Mod could be written and make a particle emitter automatically. Similar to the way that VU-Mod can put lights onto a car, I'm pretty sure it could be done.
ahh wicked, you know about mirrors too? Get them working?
Here is the sound for the charger, its from Need For Speed Undercover, but you can also get it from the hunter civilian from Burnout.
ahh wicked, you know about mirrors too? Get them working?
I know source supports real-time reflections in the form of water and mirrors but I'm not sure if you can put those on models or just map brushes, you could make the texture of the wing mirror glass very shiny but it would only reflect the cubemaps and not models etc in real-time.

Thanks but that sounds like the 2006 Dodge Charger, I need a sound for a 1969, it's a bit different but thank you anyway. Hopefully I should have my second sound sample out by the end of this week and I'll see what people think of it. Also just in case it's not good enough I will take a look into recording the 1969 Dodge Charger sound from NFS:Pro Street.
ah that sucks, figured you could stick like a camera in max and use it as a point of projection i don't know.
