Sony Vegas Pro 9? I have Vegas Pro 9 Platinum
lol you should of used Evocity
Oh, oh, sorry what I meant was NPC Control. If you choose two npcs with npc movement and then make waypoints with advanced movement...both of the npcs move in the same exact location..they eventually even walk through each other.
Well I don't know then, for something like that you would probably have to do some work in hammer.
As well, what do you use to make the text effects? Sony Vegas Pro 9? I have Vegas Pro 9 Platinum
ProType Titler, it comes with Vegas Pro 9.
Oh god that city map is awful. You should've used a better one :/

lol you should of used Evocity

There are too many different styles with different city maps and many of them are supposed to be based in the HL2 universe so they have a lot of combine machinery and Cyrillic posters/graffiti in them as well so it means they would conflict with the other locations. In the future I'm probably going to make my own maps for the different settings or at least modify them like the office scene in this film (The bulk of the actual mapping work there was done by Darkhazz and Honkers101, I did some minor changes and set up the actors and movements).
Evocity has the wrong style for this film, it's too warm coloured and the actual city part isn't large enough for the car chase so I would have to switch to another map just to continue the chase without going through the same places twice. Bigcity has tons more locations which are actually in the city, not in countryside. It wouldn't fit the theme of the film and if you go from Evocity to another map then the sudden change of lighting and colour is going to confuse everyone. I will admit that it's definitely not the ideal location but I don't have enough mapping experience to make my own city yet so I'm having to make do with the best compromise.

any updates?

when will the charger be released... it looks done
when will the charger be released... it looks done
Sigh.... WHEN THE MOVIE IS RELEASED /caps Sorry but you are like the tenth person to ask....
so when will the movie be released just asking
This model is sexy
hmmmm.... thats like saying hey here is a million dollars, itll be yours when the world ends
so when will the movie be released just asking
"When its done" the only diffrence is that it will be finished, unlike the game that followed that saying....
when will the charger be released... it looks done
The exterior is just about finished and all the rigging/animation is finished but the interior is still not textured, I need to redo the UVs and textures since the ones I'm currently using were a bit rushed. That's the main thing, plus I also wanted to add bodygroups for certain parts and also add some more functionality and animations for future use and modifications.
So how's the movie?
So how's the movie?
I'm really sorry but when I posted:
hopefully the film will be done in a couple of weeks.
I had completely forgotten that I still had one more university interview to go to so it's all behind by a week. I also have to do a live action video for school but that shouldn't take too long. I'm not giving a release date, every time I do I always misjudge everything or forget factors which will delay the project in question. Give me boxes for my stupidity and maybe one day I will get my act together and actually give you all a true release date. The good news is that after the school video is done I have no more tasks (apart from normal school work) to do so I can get fully back to work on personal projects and I also have a half term holiday coming next week which should give me even more free time.
I have the week off too, i come off on thursday :p
I have the week off too, i come off on thursday :p
me too

Ok some good news, I've finally been able to solve a problem that has been plaguing the movie for quite some time now. Basically I wasn't able to play .vcds in Garrys mod using the setexpressionoverride console command or any of the NPC scene tools. It turned out that my sounds scripts weren't being picked up by gmod because it uses a slightly different sound script loading system to HL2:Ep2. Long story short it's fixed now and it plays perfectly so the film should definitely progress much faster once I finish this live action project for school.
Good to hear.
Very good to hear.....
That's what i like to hear
Its good to see we are all hearing good
Good times!
:suicide:

What exactly was the problem anyway??? Like, the full story. I'm working on a machinima myself like I said earlier...I really fixed up demo_arctic... Here's a youtube vid of it...
umm, isn't that why you spawn "cycler actors"? What exactly was the problem anyway??? Like, the full story.
Umm no. It wasn't anything to do with the actors or what type of actor they were, it was purely because the sounds themselves weren't being loaded and therefore couldn't be played in-game which meant the actors just stood there and ignored all the instructions except for gestures and other bone based animations. All the flex data (lipsyncing and other facial movements) was being ignored because of the lack of sound.
Bump - Updates?
