Very ugly right now, but here's it doing a burnout, don't judge the quality, I recorded it on a pen : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbYwhGlvn0M
That looks similar to the standard Dodge Dog dish but without the chrome caps:

[img_thumb]http://www.chargersourceguide.com/b_wheel.jpg[/img_thumb]
It shouldn't be a problem to do it, it looks pretty simple.

Could you tell me what rim that is, I can't really see what make it is from the photo and I would like to find some more reference pictures before doing it.

I recently had an idea about how you could make item storage work. Remember how towards the end of Episode Two, you got the Magnusson Rack on the back of the Muscle Car?
Perhaps you could exploit that by putting an ammo box on the back of the charger, that when used, gives no ammo, but plays the opening animation. While it's open, a magnusson rack type device would be in the trunk that would hold any item that touches it in place. Perhaps exclude ragdolls, because I don't know how that would turn out, Maybe you could make a universal animation for the valve biped skeleton that involves being curled up, so you could stuff ragdolls into the trunk. If the magnusson rack fails, maybe you could get a coder to mock it up in Lua.

It's a good idea but the magnusson holder works on magnusson devices only, otherwise every time you backed into a wooden crate or other miscellaneous junk lying around it would get stuck to the back of the car. This is something that would need to be done in lua, I may put it in as a request in the lua forum after the model is released.
Good thing I mentioned a backup plan! \/:v:\/
I know Sakarias doesn't take requests, but maybe I could sway him to your side. Can't promise anything though. :v:
I'll give him the situation, Ask him if he's willing to do it, then see what he says.
Got some pictures of the Moth Truck and some new skins for the Clydesdale.
I will also be making both the longnose and flatnose trucks from L4D drivable, including a 'Rubber Duck' version of the longnose.

should ask him to put those epic skins for the Clydesdale in Scars too... of course if MC will allow it =P
im sure sakarias will atleast consider new skins if anything for Scars.
Awsome job Chris, I love the new skins for the Pick-up.....

I didn't make them, they're by Cookie. I'm simply adding new features to the model as practice, it's the first time i've added texturegroups to a model.

Cookie has expressed his concern over giving the skins to Sakarias after the clydesdale ended up in the pack without his permission so I wouldn't count on it, at least not until after the proper drivable versions have been released.
Also I rigged the L4D Flatnose Semi.

Next will be the Longnose and maybe a Rubber Duck skin as well with a few other modifications.

your exsaust tips are purple?...

The Moth truck's are as well, you didn't complain about that. It's just the colour Valve decided to use to represent the heat damage and pollution buildup on both trucks.

ah, i didnt notice them on the moth truck. well, nothing that wrecks the car at all, i was just wondering why it was purple

Should keep the local populus busy until you release the charger :3:
Since SCars have totally replaced conventional source vehicles for me, If you were able to rig this for SCars I'd be willing to code it for you.

That's the plan.

For me, Scars = meh. Since I mostly use gmod for machinima the cars I use have to look and behave right, I mean the front wheels don't even steer for Scars, they just slide across the ground. To me that's unacceptable for filming and I don't plan to make models that I don't intend to use myself. None of the cars I make will ever be integrated with Scars unless that major problem is addressed.
Well, shoot. I see two options here. You could either do it yourself if the need arises, and contact me for the coding, or I could get a friend to do it for private use if that's cool with you. When it's done of course.

And as i said on both a thread and to MC...they are Glorfied Advanced Dups....
I don't have anything against it, but im going to expect some changed to it for me to use them ALL the time...

well actually from the sliding thing, he updated it with an anti slide thing that works very well, ive managed to equalize it out to the point of what MC's charger looks in its drift mode. really the only thing sakarias needs to do is add turning wheels and adress the "shitty engine sounds" maybe with deeper values so it doesnt squeel, or over all make custom sounds and it would nearly be a normal vehicle tab... well... vehicle.
but i can agree with you. they were basically glorified adv dupes when the addon first came up. after a few up dates im happy with it. still needs tweaks here and there but over all its not that bad. but for me things that are good allways have a shakey beginning.
and MC, you cease to amaze me with your work! keep it up my good man!

They are still fail because they don't have adjustable surface properties, you can't tune them as much as you can normal fully animated vehicles, the sound sets are better with normal vehicles. Scars=fail.
Is the dodge charger going to be released in half a year from now or what?
