I just thought Chris, can't you make the orange lights on the top of the truck turn on at the same time as the lights on the front?
Also, im watching the Convoy movie right now, ill let you know if there is anything else..... :3:
Ill update below as i watch the film...
=========================
The flat nose could be Pig Pen's truck, just needs to be a white background with dark pink stripes...
Could do Dirty Lyle's Police car by repainting the Chevrolet Impala a light brown....

It would cause a huge amount of slowdown having 7 dynamic lights on at once. A new lua addition would have to be made to just produce orange sprites for the running lights rather than lamp entities for it to work properly.

Could do, but like the rubber duck truck it requires a bit of UV co-ordinate editing since both sides of the truck currently use the same texture so it would look OK on one side but it would be reversed on the other currently.

Lyle's car was 1973 AMC Matador, sorry just being pedantic now but that Chevy Impala wouldn't have been made until 10 years after Convoy was made.

You need to make this L4D2 car drivable!
Bunch of sexy trucks
Those are one of the most sexy models I have seen.
Managed to find a lot of good new truck sounds today, hopefully a short video/trailer will be done tomorrow.

New trailer is done, this is different to any other trailer for Gmod so far. Instead of being a prop with wheels attached to it this is actually a vehicle entity which means it can be spawned and used straight away without any set up required. At the moment it has no interior so it can only be used for machinima purposes or mock deliveries but i'm going to do another version with an empty interior later so it can actually be used to transport things.

Wow, looking good man, I can't wait.
Great job dude. All you got to do now is just crash it into a car. Then crash it into a Jailhouse, and then to top it all off, blow it up on a bridge...
...they should make a film out of that... :v:

same thing that madmax said, also hes doing a daytona version allready. the only other daytona looking car i know was a plymouth.
maybe MC can make a skin that looks like that? or just make a mass of open skin slots for the daytona so we can make our own. and many of them.
think you could put about 10 open skin slots for the daytona when you get it going?
I think you should provide a idiotically tall version of this, so cars can drive under it, NFS style.
Just use Sgt.Sgt's, you can do that with his.
think you could put about 10 open skin slots for the daytona when you get it going?
I will see how many free slots there are after all of my own skins have been added, I think that there is a cap on the number of materials at 32, maybe, I don't know for sure. If there isn't any such limit then there is no problem adding this many slots.

plymouth didn't have a daytona, they had the superbird
the superbird had 2 black decals on the front of the car, and the daytona doesn't. But he cant make a skin for jimmy gib's jr.'s l4d2 car, because the l4d2 daytona doesn't have the front
ah, well, i only said "only car that similar" i ment by appearance.
In other words it doesn't need to be done, of course its up to MC....but he has enough on his plate at the moment...
Mopar sure had their shit together when they were making cars late 60's and early 70s... Everything was awesome about them.
Yeah, look at 'em now... Fiat? WTF. I also noticed in OP that someone suggested a PT Cruiser. Also WTF. Seriously, the worst replacement for the Neon. Ever. Speaking of Neons, someone should defiantly get a Neon model going. I would make it, but I have no skill as a human being. If a Neon was in Master Chris's list, then forgive me, I can't read.
Keep up the good work, Master Chris! I can't wait to see the truck/trailer on garrysmod.org! You are going to put them up, right? Nobody has a really good semi truck up on garrysmod.org yet.

Don't worry it will be a normal garrysmod.org download, I might possibly start using SVN when I get a larger collection of cars together but that definately won't be for a while.

By the way, i got Left 4 Dead 2 today, that Half price looked so jucie :3:

I think that the community deserves a little something now after all this waiting, it doesn't mean that the trucks can't be integrated into the SVN as well but I want to get something finished just to make myself feel a bit better about keeping you all waiting for so long.
Besides it looks like it's going to take a quite while for an SVN to come along, I've just set up a Google code account... and that's about as far as I got.
I haven't read through the SVN tutorials end-to-end but I just don't know where to start, I honestly thought there would be a big 'Upload' or 'Sync' button where you would just refer it to a folder and it would automatically upload everything to the site ready to be distributed via SVN, not so it would appear.
I'm sure that like everything else it's easy once you know what your doing but finding comprehendible instructions is very difficult, maybe I'm just tired right now but if anyone could refer me to an easy tutorial on how to set up an SVN repository that would be great.
Just to elaborate, I know how to download through an SVN client but I want to know how to upload my own stuff and create a new SVN from scratch.
Well Chris, Takes your time, It's hard to learn a new thing like everyone else, And if it looks this good then you will need to take your time.
And BTW. I'm Samantha.

Oh and by the way, i have written the first scene for Highway 12
Ok I got an SVN working, thanks to Sgt.Sgt. I decided to use assembla instead of google code, much more user friendly. This is where all my complete models/addons will be released from now on. Major updates will still be released on Garrysmod.org when I feel it's justified but for up to date revisions I will use SVN (small patches and adjustments etc).
Edit: Ok I got the google code one to work as well but I will use that just for unfinished or WIP stuff.
madmax678 i like yo avatar... chris should make the interceptor

Okay the L4D trucks are nearly ready for release, new sounds are taken care of and there are no other bugs to report. Release should be tomorrow along with a video/trailer.
The release will be via SVN and garrysmod.org since i'm so nice :3:
Any major updates will follow at a later date, probably not until after the film and the Dodge Charger are finished.
