True but I hope both of those will be remedied by the time it comes out but the big thing is the two tone paint job.
Except the first link has no two tone paint job... And then the second link has a two tone hood, which, from what I remember, was never there In reality, the second link car was never even used, it's just a downgraded version of the movie car
In reality, the second link car was never even used, it's just a downgraded version of the movie car
That was the Intercepter they used to film the 1st Mad Max, the blower was removed to comply with Aussy rules and regs, and then it was on the road from city to city showing people. The current location of it is The Cars Of The Stars and that is in United Kingdom....yeah....we went there.... Sorry i read up on the history of it quite alot :3:

The first link was from a fan car to show the color of the stickers that go over the headlamps more acurately since the photo of the interceptor is abit faded, I wasn't looking to see if it had the two tone paint job or not. the original did always have a two tone paint job in the films. It's less visible in MM2 because of the weathering they did to it. The reason why it doesnt have it anymore in the cars of the stars museum is because the previous owner who saved it didn't know about it when he restored it. http://www.madmaxmovies.com/cars/mad-max-interceptor/index.html http://www.madmaxmovies.com/cars/Replica/Black/index.html these two fan cars are pretty close to what it looked like back in the day: http://www.madmaxmovies.com/fanstuff/cars/BillBrown/index.html http://www.madmaxmovies.com/fanstuff/cars/MarkScarselli/index.html and that's a 70' charger with a fake blower just like the mad max one not a 69' and before you start a war over ford vs mopar I like all kinds of cars and I wish I had these two cars in my driveway a vette and a cuda': http://www.autotraderclassics.com/scaler/610/457/images/a/cms/47679/47679.jpg http://www.famouscars.de/images/miamivice/miamivice-daytona02.jpg

I always liked the way that Ferrari looked
Don't argue with the 3 older mature people in here. They know alot more than you do. And cookie your not on steam DX. Will you come on so i can talk to you.
Cuda's short for Baracuda, that's a 71 because of the cheese grater gril they had on it which was only put on for the 71 model year. god damn good looking coupe too especially in orange with black sidewalls, shaker hood scoop, drag wheels, black spoiler with a black louver over the rear window like I saw at a car show about 6 years ago. kinda like this: http://www.rpmcollection.com/cars_for_sale/71_Plymouth_340_Cuda_Tor_Red/2071470154_fa0cf12d5e%5B1%5D.jpg Thats also a replica of the Ferrari Daytona, basically a rebodied in fiberglass Corvette C3 that was made famous by its apperance in Miami Vice Here are three of most notabile scenes from the show, the pilot "Brothers Keeper" (that photo of it is taken from the scene right before that one) Season 2's "Florance Italy" and "Bought And Paid For" http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x10veu_deux-flics-a-miami-daytona-replica_auto http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x18wn6_deux-flics-a-miami-porsche-906_auto http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HU964Wtmkkc Originally it was going to be used as a stunt double for the real one they had briefly in the pilot that was just like this, but it fell through because someone apparently dinged it while they were filming http://www.finecars.cc/en/detail/car/14122/index.html?no_cache=1&tx_anamerashowroom_pi1%5Bpointer%5D=1-2&tx_anamerashowroom_pi1%5BRET%5D=63&tx_anamerashowroom_pi1%5BMODE%5D=make Here's an info page on it if you want to know more about the replicas used on the show http://www.priceofaddiction.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=17&Itemid=32 Understandably being the one of the first replicas of the daytona it wasn't that acurate but this one is pretty close. http://www.photos-automobiles.com/shootings/ferrari_daytonaspyder/index.htm although I wish he had gone with a plexyglass headlamp cover like on the MV Daytona and circular headlamps that matched that of the real one, every time I see those square ones I think gm, not ferrari. like on this one http://www.indat.de/enzo/daytona.htm
Just noticed you have a '71 Monte Carlo on the request list, if you change it to '85 then I can provide a shitload of reference pictures and textures.
*Lots of words*
I think you look into things too much... The intercepter was in good condition when it was transported to Cars of the stars, all that was missing was the blower, thats what they ment by "Restoration" and i am 110% certain, that it was NOT 2-Tone... There where the Pursuit cars and the Intercepter that Max drives as a pursuit car (That was a 2-Tone Yellow,Blue and Red) before he meets the "Last of the V8's" Trust me, i have been to the place myself and looked at its amazement... .....and trust me, it ain't 2-Tone....
I ment the restortation of it by the guy who found it at the scrapper after the filming was done, not by cars of the stars. http://www.madmaxmovies.com/cars/mad-max-interceptor/history3.html cars of the stars picked it up and changed the plexyglass back from black to clear and put the stickers back on it thats all and yes it does sport an all gloss black paint job now http://www.madmaxmovies.com/cars/mad-max-interceptor/images/cots/cots1.jpg http://www.madmaxmovies.com/cars/mad-max-interceptor/images/cots/Front.jpg Its hard to say if its got the paint job in MM2 because of the weathering that they did to it rubbed the gloss paint down and covers it up completely http://www.madmaxmovies.com/cars/mad-max-interceptor/images/MM2Preparation.jpg That and the front bumper that was enirely matt black was removed prior to filming, the closest I can get is the photo of it after shooting, the back still looks matt black just like it did in the original http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oawspa5EVzs&feature=related but its definitely there in Mad Max 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oawspa5EVzs&feature=related 0:12 look at the paint right above the zoomies, matt and gloss 1:04 look at the way the paints shining on the top half but the bottoms matt along with the spoiler 1:24 note the matt paint and pattern on the hood that matches that of its hood patern of it after shooting MM1 http://www.madmaxmovies.com/cars/mad-max-interceptor/HotRodShow79/Front.JPG 1:50 note how the paint around the blowers completely matt 2:52 look at the wheel arch and how the lights not reflecting of it, but it is around the doors 3:32 granted this is hard to see but the entire front bumper is matt while everything above it is gloss 4:55 look at how the lights reflecting off of the hood, you can clearly see the two tone paint job around the blower 5:04 light shining on its tail, its obiviously matt black Therefore atleast In Mad Max 1 it sported a two tone paint job like it originally did back when it was a stock white ford falcon xb gt, white changed into gloss black and gloss to matt. Wow, just wow. Also no I'm not making it two tone, I honestly think it will look like crap in Gmod, unless you can replicate it and make it look awesome on another car and show it to me, I'm not doing it. Also don't say you want a corvette that's a Ferrari body kit thing, it's weird...
Oh... sorry thought that was the defintion of two tone, my mistake and theres nothing wrong with a rebodied corvette if its done well and it is far easier to live with than an old school ferrari. with its dry sump lubrication system, small oil passages since its from Italy which is in a warm climate its not reallty an issue there since the oil's always warm and thin. here you have to wait atleast a few minutes before driving off so you don't do damage to the engine from lack of lubrication, after all the first thing anyone in a sports car is going to is floor it hence why italain cars have such a bad repuation here. Plus the fact that they only made 1200 or so of them in a 5 year time span while the corvette c3 (which you can add pretty much everything to, from high reving engines, new suspension, have the interior completey redone and get repaired for far less amongst many other things) was built for 20 some years so theres still alot of parts around plus around here your going to be doing what 30 - 40 mph and with no powersteering you'd be manhandling the ferrari all the god damn time. in conclusion you can just do a HELL of alot more with a 40,000 vette with the spare 340 grand than a 375,000 ferrari daytona and I'm not even taking into acount the price of a legit spyder But I do admit the proportions of the real one does look abit better than the ones of even the best replica out there so what about doing a model of the real one based on this? http://www.finecars.cc/en/detail/car/14122/index.html?no_cache=1&tx_anamerashowroom_pi1%5Bpointer%5D=1-2&tx_anamerashowroom_pi1%5BRET%5D=63&tx_anamerashowroom_pi1%5BMODE%5D=make and if I had a replica I'd change the badges so that it said corvette, not ferrari and tell people that its just a rebodied one. Althought I would have a psudo ferrari badge done up that says corvette on it with the american flag and the checkered flag on it instead.
These might help: Side view: Front:
*corvette ferrari*
No.. Just no... Everything about that was just wrong. And placing corvette badges on a Ferrari body? Your kidding right? Right?
:words::words::words:
Yeah. It may surprise you but I don't really think anyone else here cares about the practically identical shades of black on Mad Max's car and please stop discussing your views on replica ferrari's as well, this is just not the place for it. Go to the Cars thread in general discussion or something. A classic ferrari isn't for hammering, it's for a good drive on a sunday morning. Also I know that 'Cuda is shorthand for the Plymouth Baracuda. I just like 'Baracuda' more, it has more impact for me. Now do you mind getting back on topic? Either that or kindly be quiet, it's all good with me.
Just noticed you have a '71 Monte Carlo on the request list, if you change it to '85 then I can provide a shitload of reference pictures and textures.
I prefer the '71 to the '85. I personally didn't like most cars from the 80's, too plasticy and angular, plus quality and power were down for nearly every model since the late 70's. I like very few cars from 1975 to 1989, especially American ones. There are a few exceptions such as the Lamborghini Countach but that's pretty much it. Besides the Faction from GTA IV looks very similar to that and it's already in Sgt.Sickness's vehicle pack.
Thats not going to happen, putting a corvette badge on a ferrari? Why don't you just get...oh...i don't know.... A CORVETTE... But yeah, back on track please...
The C3s arent that good looking without that custom body and I think Leonardo Fioravanti took the general design of C2 and ripped it off ( the wheelbase of both cars is the same as well) but I degress With the last V8 Fair enough, those were old issues I had with it when I used in vice city a few years ago although I'm just hoping the issue with the headlamps gets taken care of. it just doesnt look right, right now and other than and the paint it is an excelent model of the last v8, one of the best I've seen. so back on topic is the charger going to be released with tinted glass like what has been shown in the preview vid? Also it looks like the designs a little off. like the fastback is protruding too much on either side and its not as swept back as the real one. I think whats causing it is that the window looks like its not far enough back.
Words...again*
Dude, get the fucking hint, it IS NOT going to happen.... Now stop chamming up this thread with your nonsense about puting Chevy badges on ferrari's Also, the V8 is fine, its a simple port from GTA:SA to Gmod, we aren't going in depth about it...
The C3s arent that good looking without that custom body The C3s arent that good looking C3s arent good looking
What? You know what? Never mind. I'm going to go sell my C3 now :C (1970 Stingray :D)
I was talking about the damn DODGE CHARGER and how the back end looks off with a breif mention of the c3 in the front yeash "so BACK ON TOPIC is the CHARGER going to be released with tinted glass like what has been shown in the preview vid? Also it looks like the designs a little off. like the fastback of the CHARGER is protruding too much on either side and its not as swept back as the real one.
so back on topic is the charger going to be released with tinted glass like what has been shown in the preview vid?
No, it's blacked out now because the interior isn't textured. Kavin, you don't even know how to spell so be quiet. We all know your just acting dumb, trying to get attention, well it wont work with us. so be quiet. Please, It irritates my mind just thinking about it. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Misspelled words.

I'm trying. Just people in this forum are just so ignorant. That noone realizes anything there saying. But i can stay on topic. But Can you Please be quiet and let us Do what we do best. Thank you.

Humans in general are somewhat, mildly ignorant... just get used to it.
Humans in general are somewhat, mildly ignorant... just get used to it.
This thread is getting weirder....
Is it possible to have the engine just by itself, like ripped from the car, I could really use it as the ep2's hemi is a little far from it's roots. Also the same goes for the dash, seats, pedals, rear view mirrors, bumpers, centure console and maybe the gastank also. Mainly the engine. I would really really find all thease parts as seperate usesful as half the things I build I try to replicate dodge parts but it never ends well. Big fan of dodge also. Got a 1968 dodge coronet r/t with a 540 mopar in it.
