This thread is getting weirder....
Then i must be doing my job ;)
Is it possible to have the engine just by itself, like ripped from the car, I could really use it as the ep2's hemi is a little far from it's roots. Also the same goes for the dash, seats, pedals, rear view mirrors, bumpers, centure console and maybe the gastank also. Mainly the engine. I would really really find all thease parts as seperate usesful as half the things I build I try to replicate dodge parts but it never ends well. Big fan of dodge also. Got a 1968 dodge coronet r/t with a 540 mopar in it.
Why? If i'm making a complete model then why do you want to try and re-assemble it from component parts? It's just going to add a lot more delay to the release date and at the moment I really don't need the car in pieces. You may get the engine but i'm not promising anything.
I would do that for damage reasons, an exploding car that remains intact after an explosion kinda sucks for machinimas also having a drivers perspective in machinimas are great
He has a point there Chris...
I would do that for damage reasons, an exploding car that remains intact after an explosion kinda sucks for machinimas
Well I admit there is that element, but generally when a car explodes the doors are blasted open and so is the hood but generally it stays mostly intact. It takes a lot of force to blow a car's chassis and body panels apart and usually if an explosion is that powerful the materials are just vaporised on ignition of the explosive leaving little or no debris of the car at all.
also having a drivers perspective in machinimas are great
That's what the first person view is for, you don't need the car in parts to do that. The other issue is that if I make the parts separate then I've got to make them viewable from any angle, at the moment the car is made to only be viewable from areas where passengers would be or from the outside. If I have to make the parts visible from where you wouldn't normally see them (behind the dashboard for example) then I've got to do a whole lot more work adding loads of unnecessary detail.
where did you say this particle emmiter is? is it in wire?
The Interceptor is nearly ready to be added to the pack:

Lookin' good.
Let's not forget to thank Gianpietro who is the man who made the model and was kind enough to let me port it to Gmod so Master Chris could rig it!

Although...MC may surprise us...
Update your SVNs the Interceptor is here:
will the light on the dash board light up? like that vu mod or what ever its called
No, at least not at the moment, VU-Mod only allows for headlights not flashing lights so you will need to add that yourself unfortunately.
Great work, updated :D One thing, if you do make that '72 grand prix, can you make it the gold one with the whitish top?
Here's some horrible photography of the Interceptor for anyone who haven't downloaded it yet. Thank you Cookie and Chris for porting it.
There seems to be traction issues with my copy of it, is this normal?
There seems to be traction issues with my copy of it, is this normal?
What kind of traction issues? Also, i have a another video going up either tonight or tommrow... ...it depends on if i can keep my eye lids open....

Checked the OP, no SVN links found.
SVN, I guess I missed something? Checked the OP, no SVN links found.
It's the SVN here: Master Chris's Vehicle Pack, it's the SVN I use for all my releases and no the charger is not on it yet.
It seems like the rear tires are made of ice that soaked in lube so going up hill or even starting on flat terrain results in me peeling out.
It seems like the rear tires are made of ice that soaked in lube so going up hill or even starting on flat terrain results in me peeling out.
Hmm....have you been editing the scripts? :cop:
Hmm....have you been editing the scripts? :cop:
that requires me to have the knowledge to do so.
that requires me to have the knowledge to do so.
Not really, anyone can go in there and push stuff around Does it do this when you boost away or on normal throttle? Also, i put this in the Videos section, but i'll drop this here aswell....
on normal throttle and even when turning with no throttle
on normal throttle and even when turning with no throttle
Try updating your SVN...maybe something isen't quite right...
MC you should make a trucking pilot car http://www.tomsescorts.com/images/ms3vans-2.jpg or make like the light bar a sign with the flags.
How's it going with the movie?
Ok here is an update: The easter holidays are now over so I'm not going to have quite as much time as the last two weeks to work on my own things, this is exasperated by the fact that I've got my final set of exams coming up in a couple of months which I will need to start revising for very soon. This means that over that period I won't be posting here as often as I usually do, it doesn't mean i'm going to completely stop though. In fact just last night I got back to work on the Dodge Charger model and massively improved the exhaust pipe and some other underside detail, I am currently fixing the rear quarter panel and starting on the roof next, pictures will be up in the next day or so to show the improvements. I will also make a short vehicle command tutorial to accompany the vehicle pack (Things like using wire or console commands to control vehicles and vehicle based trailers) As for the film, it's gone back for some serious improvements. There will be more new maps and models, the script and soundtrack is undergoing large improvements and it will be a lot better than it was originally going to be. Some time after my exams I will make a new trailer showing these improvements. I am also planning to start a small video contest when my main film is done, themed around chases. It won't necessarily have to be a car chase, it could be anything: on foot, helicopter, boat, whatever. I have seen a few good chase sequences in other gmod machinimas and I think that this could work quite well, and if nothing else it gives me an excuse to work on the next film I have lined up.
This all sounds good, im totally up for the Chase contest....
Alright Chris I just wanted to bring the odd look of the fastback and the interior to your attention and I'm glad you know I do have one more question are you going to use the interior of the jalopy as the starting point for the charger? and regardless of my nitpicks the interceptor looks awesome.
