As max said I'm still doing exams right now and I really just want to finish this model right now, that is my main priority after the exams are over. I will also be getting my new PC next week so it will take some time to transfer all my stuff over and get it working with windows 7 (currently XP), I don't know how well some of my software will work so there could potentially be a period of adjustment but I have over two months worth of completely free time to spend before my university foundation course starts in September so I'm sure that all the current projects including the Charger and TDTWWW will be finished in that time.

It's not a very good port of the NFS model and I imagine it's not very good to drive. I don't really mind, it's no competition to my model.

perfection takes time, if you want a quick fix go download the one that was posted a few posts ago, atleast he has the deceincy to talk to everyone and keep us informed about developments with it, unlike Valve with ep3.

You have to remember that when I started this project I was a complete modeling novice, no experience whatsoever and the first version of the car was terrible. This car has effectively been remodeled completely at least twice over and it's not like I work on it every day, there have been months where I haven't done anything to it at all because I've been too busy working at school or on other projects.

master chris, i added you on steam friends in hopes of getting some help.

Im developing a 69 charger as well, mine no where near as good as yours.
Got the model from a filefront upload and im trying to edit it a bit.

first off, what program would i go about editing models, i know i can make them in sketchup with a plugin and then convert them with idk what program.

My charger has some issues that i gotta fix, i in no way want to rip off yours or have mine more popular, im just making it for the tec server and need somethings fixed.

issues:
wheels are off the ground, maybe 5 inches in front and a foot in back.

you sit not in the seat but your player model is in the right seat, down and 90 degrees clockwise.

otherwise, the view is fixed so you sit higher and the sounds are jalopy ones, if i can get these issues fixed, i can finally have my friend stop complaining :P

if anyone can tell me how to edit models, more specifically, fix the floating tire and seating issues, id LOVE that.

One more thing, i have 3 skins for it, .vtf and .vmf files. I want to use the skin switcher to switch between these but i was told on another thread to edit the model.

Do i need to add to the vmf? or the autorun file? please tell me :(

So you would probaly come on here XD, but btw your charger looks awesome and all but take a look at chris's videos on his youtube account or something and see how his looks, cause if you see how his is you might be able to improve on it alot better than starting off with decent pictures, as they say Videos speak louder than words.

2. Don't be negative towards people's work. They're not doing this to impress you - they're giving to the community. Instead of looking down from your throne of superiority - help them and tell them where they're going wrong. You will get banned if you flame people's work without giving a damn good reason.
