dont worry, im gonna post everything i extract from the game once umodel is compatable with infinite.
I will post all the models once Its supported (like I did with BIOSHOCK AND BIOSHOCK 2), every model you see in Bioshock Infinity will be at your disposal.
People who don't believe me:

sorry, i just had to

I have more trouble opening max files downloaded from other people than I do psk files. Even files from the same version just don't seem to want to open, so I'm hoping you'd be willing to put them in psk or fbx format as well.

I consider my threads pretty organized, download links is sorted out by level so you can find the level you know the models in and download that.
If you want to go and port all the thousand models to .MAX, be my guest.
Lastly, I think logically, the typical person would need to spend 1 minute to install the add-on and then from there they port the models into MAX and port to the format of their choice. You are saving the end user 1 minute, congrats. To save the end user more time, please port all models to OBJ....

I'd rather visit his thread if you're going to have an attitude like that.
thinking about adding Handymen, Boys of Silence, and Motorized Patriot?
i will
+1 FBX would be great thanks :)
I made a topic to gildor pending the release of the game: http://www.gildor.org/smf/index.php/topic,1768.0.html As mentioned by someone else, gildor has been busy, and he doesn't have the game to work with. Someone would need to provide it to him. Somewhere in the topic, I mentioned his Steam.
ripping these are pointless so is rigging them
Since when umodel supports bioshock infinite it extracts the models with bones intact and has Better Textures
Isn't it funny how you swooped in at someone elses thread start bitching about that it's pointless that he's doing it and you're gonna do it cause youre "more awesome"... kindof a dick move dude :/ Ivars actually has shit to show all you done is say: "IF a tool supports it, that everyone could use I
will do it cause I'm better then you..."
Just my 2 cents.
It would be SO COOL if somebody could do a left 4 dead 2 version of elizabeth. I'm already sifting trough all the sound and structuring them fowards a complete sound replacement for rochelle. If we could do a l4d2 elizabeth, I would really like that!
At this point i still have 4000 files to go trough , already categorized a whole bunch of her sounds saying she found stuff, tank spotting is goign to be handiman, she's calling nick "booker", and I have all kind of sounds ready to hook up with smoker / SI events etc.
Not only all that work would have to go in before I am going to show a demo on youtube of the voice replacement, I can't imagine how much work it's going to take to re rig all the l4d animations to a model like this,
I imagine Just a reskin of rochelle isn't possible because of the dress.
I know I can't wait I would just like to get the models for the Vigor bottles.
i will include psk max and fbx.
and all chars and props
That is going to be one huge pack...lol..
Dont forget to include all the models, I want the building models also. Thanks.
It'd be nice to see some civilians, and maybe some Vox.
Also, please port the Zealots of the Lady, I fucking loved those guys.
So guys my thread will include all the character models props, buildings, scenery, etc
i will be porting the weapons and vigor bottles to source and other items
now rate agree if you want me to include civilian models
or disagree if you want me to leave them out.
civilian models for sure!
I'd expect to just pull everything out regardless. Statues, structures, etc. The problem is usually BioShock games use a modified Havok animation file which is difficult to identify in the files, so UModel can't find them. Hopefully this is different in Infinite, considering it uses a different format for packing the files, but probably not. Does that mean you'll be making custom animations if you use them?
As for me, I want the plain textures more. I find it amusing to document advertisements, posters, banners, etc. on BioShock Wiki. Rendering models doesn't end well for me, but with the functionality, it should be easy for those with the know-how.
By the way Rinfect, where is that topic you mention? Apparently Facepunch doesn't want me (probably standard for many/most) checking your posts or topics. Sorry - I don't usually come around here, but Google sent me here in my search for references in finding game files for documentation and information.
Does anyone yet know the expression capabilities of the Bioshock Infinite models? You know, all the little tweaky sliders? Not "pain" or "sadness" but, you know, for the lips and eyebrows and stuff..

Civies would be excellent for some WWI styled screenshots.

I'd love to see these guys in garry's mod. I just love these models
I wonder if it's also possible to have the viewmodel (hands) for Elizabeth. (including cap on right pinky) I guess you would have to make this out of scratch because you don't play as her in BI
My only question would be how we could do screenshots. There aren't any maps that resemble Columbia, and making one would likely take a fucktillion years. Hell, that Rapture map isn't even finished and that guys been working since, like, 2010.

I don't think she has viewmodel hands, does she? It's just the full model's own hands protruding into your space.
As I mentioned before, BioShock has usually used a modified Havok animation file which we haven't been able to extract, so if you do get these models out, you'd either be figuring out what they did with the animation files or remaking animations from scratch. Keep that in mind.
I've been looking to get a model of the sky hook. Was thinking of using it to create plans to make my own replica, made from decent materials unlike the one they are selling. Would use the pics online 'cept not nearly enough detail and I can't figure out exact measurements from those.
Adam Bolton modeled the Sky-Hook among other things. A few months back, we found renders of various models on his portfolios. They had been there for months apparently, but once we caught on, he took them down soon after. Sadly, I only got his Elizabeth renders, so you don't have those detailed Sky-Hook ones.
While all these links are dead now, I found them in my history. Maybe there's remnants somewhere? Wayback has no results.

what about using zoey's hands and some minor modification

Just get the one from NECA, just got mine earlier today for $80
I'm still learning this stuff. Other than the color which seems straight forward if you're good with photoshop, How would you make Zoey's viewmodel so that it has a little cap on her right pinky and actually make it be like "silver" ish ?
Wouldn't it be possible to just remove everything but her arms and use those? I mean, world models are usually lower res than viewmodels, but since B:I is such a recent game I don't think it would stand out that much, especially since you see her hands from quite close in the game itself and they look pretty well-detailed.
