Any Meiling models that could be ported to gmod?
http://cid-1deb0909e62c7cab.office.live.com/self.aspx/.Public/%EF%BC%93D%E3%83%A2%E3%83%87%E3%83%AB/%E7%B4%85%E7%BE%8E%E9%88%B4/%E7%B4%85%E7%BE%8E%E9%88%B4.zip It looks decent, but the detail dosent come close as the Scarlet sisters or any of the more detailed ones.
Personally, I don't think it would hurt to have China, though we should get Flan out of the way first.
I'm also trying to get the Sawako model I've been working on, waiting for my brother to finally bring back my hard drive. I made a .zip file containing whats unfinished, saves, x.files, PMD files, 3DS plug-ins, BMP files, jpg texture files, which this zip. file was for Kirby to help on but he hasn't replied back yet.
*Shamless bump Anyways, I wanted to say I haven't forgotten these models. Been working on some other projects. I plan to get majority of Touhou models ported when I fix my PMD editor (acted crazy for some reason). I hope and wish the best of luck to you Vaust Kil
Eh, if anyone can get Izayoi or Cirno into non PMD form I can try to redo the UV's...But I can't do anything with the PMD files right now.

Any progress on Flandre since the last screenshot?
In case this thread does die, would it be better to have the source files posted on this thread?
ARG! I'm trying to Finalize everything for upload, but my brother is taking way too long for my hard drive. Anyway, what about source files, as in PMD. files/x. files? I have pretty much any or all Touhou MMD Characters. Reisen is the bastard hardest to find... Edit: Scratch that, i have the files right now, took me forever to figure out i had a spare back up on my secondary hard drive. Plus: I apologize that i never had time to crop the second screen down but, i wound up finding Reisen anyway, 5 minutes after posting the difficulty find her. Ill be working on her also, along with Nitori, god knows she has an unforgivable poly count on her. Oh and yes i work on Dual screens.
Ill be working on her also, along with Nitori, god knows she has an unforgivable poly count on her. And by source files, could it be possible to use a relatively universal format such as OBJ?
Reisen's polycount is fair but troublesome at the most, its Nitori, Sawako, and Chen that have the higher count, whats in common is that their the newest Touhou MMD releases
I apologize for the bump, but are you guys still working on this?
Oh dear God I must have that Bunny Girl in my Gmod.
Im taking too many breaks, but yes its in a slow process.
I'm working slowly too. I do tend to get distracted by games I want to play. Have you learned how to import the UV maps correctly on the model Vaust Kil? It will just help me save some time in the long run. I do however have that Reisen model you've shown. Best of luck to you though Vaust Kil.
Oh dear God I must have that Bunny Girl in my Gmod.
I agree, shes cute.
Just out of my curiosity, what characters are priority right now?
Well, Flandre seems to be. I have ported Cirno, Mokou, Keine EX (need to fix the normal one to appear), Remilia, Marisa, Meiling, Reisen, and a couple of others I can't think of at the moment to 3D Max. Granted, like before, they need to have some of the textures reapplied. I'm going to experiment with a new idea I came up with to try and rip the models so that I don't have to reapply the textures each time. My idea is basically using 3D Ripper DX with the PMD Editor. I've yet to try due to not having much time lately. If this works, it will greatly speed up the process to a degree.
I've tried that when I tried ripping the K-ON! MMD models. It extracts good sometimes, and terribly other times. Like, it wouldn't extract ALL the textures one time, and then all of em the next.
I never have to reapply the textures when I port MMD models. Not sure what you're doing different from me. Do you save the .MQO file in the same folder that the PMD model originally came from?
I've been using that .X file import script for 3D Max. None of them come in a .MQO file. But yes, I do have the textures being directed to the source. It seems when importing, it only catches only 1 of the textures, resulting what you see in the Flandre model some pages back. It does this with all of them, sometimes omitting any textures onto it. Unless I'm doing something wrong when exporting and importing, that would be the only cause. This is the main reason it's taking me so long to even get the mesh's done cause I have to reapply these textures. If I'm doing any of the methods wrong, please let me know. I rather know what I'm doing wrong than keep on making the same mistake.
So you never got to export them into 3DS looking like this: Ill need to record and take notes otherwise then give them to you.
Oh you can rate me for Bad Reading then. I use an entirely different method, it seems.
Correct Vaust Kil, I've never got them to appear like that. I even tried highlighting an option when exporting seeing if that was the problem, and sadly wasn't. Usually, the only texture that appears is the face (and sometimes eyes). Still don't know why, but if you're willing to teach me, I'll gladly accept it. Seems you're pretty good at porting these. No worries SakuraMaxX, I tend to misread things. However, if you have a way that works, please let me know too.
Jesus christ uncanny valley at its finest MOAR CELLSHADING
Is that even possible on Source with the current shaders we have right now?
Does anyone here know if there's at least a decent Wriggle model? Edit: Sorry bout the double post.
As far as I know for MMD, there's one, but it kind of looks a bit meh (no where near the quality as the other ones). Other than that, I'm still waiting Vaust Kil's instructions so I can do a better job of exporting and importing the models.

I'm making the instructions now, but they might not get as far as hoped. Oh yeah and what 3DS version do you have anyway? I'm gonna try and send you a file to you containing my old work and saves that would better explain how i got the textures and colors matching.
