its based on the xcom rifle
Theres a couple issues here that I see. One, your action is higher than your barrel. Are you planning on shooting out the front of your gun? Two, while there is a fire select, where is the mag release? Two, how big of bullets are you planning on fireing from that thing? It looks like small grenade launcher rounds or REALLY big shotgun rounds can come out of that barrel. The biggest thing though is the barrel not lining up with the ejection slot. Typically, the gas system is underneath the barrel, while the barrel is higher on the weapon to provide better accuracy from the perspective of the shooter. IE Line of Sight.
IE Line of Sight.
Thanks for taking the time to look for errors on the gun. However, most things you have mentioned are either not a problem or simply a design choice of 2K when they designed the rifle. The ejector port can be far above the bolt, as is the case with this weapon (see G3 / MP5 for real world example). The gas system is like on the FN SCAR, which is also above the barrel. As for the barrel size: the rifle seems to have some form of extremely heavy barrel, as the size of the actual inner diameter is perfectly reasonable for the gun.
I dunno who in 2K designed the rifle originally, but its completely illogical to my mind. Oh well, it isn't my model.

As far as design it's very cartoon-styled cause of the overall visual style of the game, plus later on you develop laser and plasma guns, so realism to detail wasn't a priority. Again though, the rifle in particular, I can sort of see it as an actual rifle, I'd go with Robinate's point on that. Plus the barrel could be made thick like that for prolonged fire without having to worry about warping the barrel from the heat.
I've made a lot of new tutorials, more than what I post here. The tiles and the padded armor I could definately use for my own work. Handy, I'll have to take a look when I have time.
[T]http://imageshack.com/a/img538/968/n5b6U7.png[/T] UV'd and baked, however I cannot make textures for shit. Does anyone want to help me out? I can't really offer anything in return though :/
played around with ddo for the first time today, still got alot to do and improve (like reduce grime and wear on the metal bits), but hopefully ill be able to improve and learn how ddo does it's textures so i can do em myself manually made as a simple prop, 3 512x textures, model is 372 tris
[t]http://puu.sh/dUoMP.jpg[/t] For some mod Model by someone else, normals have some issues but it's not super noticeable hopefully
-snip- Why did it post twice?
Memory serving it's an issue with connections timing out. Also, it may just be me, but that spring on top of the bolt looks quite odd.
Not sure why you are asking money for something that takes 2 seconds to learn.
Because of quality content.
Also on topic; how would you go about sculpting carved stone? I feel my attempts have end up looking more like plaster. I think I've figured out how to go about it Edit:
A little wip im currently working on.
[t]http://puu.sh/e37GX/3605a535fb.png[/t][t]http://puu.sh/e2M5f/5fe490b26a.png[/t] been trying to expand my modelling/texturing skills, recently got zbrush and started using that to do my first "good" sculpt, and been tryin to learn how to use bakes to my advantage
Good start, just keep pushing yourself, you appear to know all the basics so it's all about making it look as good as you can. However, your anatomy is completely wonk - keep at it though.
A little wip im currently working on.
I'd say brighten up the black parts, make them more of a dark grey and play around that colour area.
Good news, I got a spot on an art team! I'll be doing super low-poly low rez stuff but the art style is fantastic so I'm pumped. I just reformatted my computer and decided to make sure my pipeline was ready so I did an in-style art test/dayproject. Man, that is super low rez. I could fill a fleet of a thousand ships with something that tiny.
[t]http://puu.sh/e7PYF/bb363e3f08.png[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/e7Q0r/1a1a5fd3de.png[/t] Just finished this Winchester Model 1876 model that I’ve been working on.
Now that is a beautiful Winchester. I tried my own hand at one once. Failed horribly. Anyway, here is one of my latest.
hey fellas, do any of you have an idea why this normal map is only pink and white without blue? is this normal? i need to fix it but i suck and have no experience with normal maps.

i'm working on a mesh mod for milla and got that "face inside face" problem. so when i using faceposing and, for example, trying to open her mouth there are another mouth inside! it's kinda creepy and i dunno how to solve it. any tips?
Do you post to furaffinity? I could have sworn I saw this there
XD Yes I do. Same username too, just no space. CrossRadeon, that is kinda creepy.
