What kind of buildings? Skybox sized ones, fully enterable, or somewhere in between?
[t]https://internethatemachinae.files.wordpress.com/2015/02/rooftop_ac2.jpg[/t]
Not gonna lie this artstyle is one of the cooler things I've seen recently
Damn that is some sexy vehicle modeling, great work so far! I finally managed to do a recap post of my 2014 and I dig into my new position as a contract artist for Due Process! Here's some recent work from me, slowly exploring the artstyle that we're working with. [t]https://internethatemachinae.files.wordpress.com/2015/02/scifi_box_crate_low.jpg[/t] [t]https://internethatemachinae.files.wordpress.com/2015/02/rooftop_ac2.jpg[/t] Just when I finally got used to working with 2048x2048, my optimal texture size is now 128x128. Finding out the hard way you can't do as much with 128 as you can 2048.
new minecraft texture pack for download?
What kind of buildings? Skybox sized ones, fully enterable, or somewhere in between?
Realistic, full scale, preferably enter able and not for Source.
new minecraft texture pack for download?
Minecraft doesn't use 128x128 as it's normal resolution.
its a joke
its a joke
quite an insulting one
Plus just because there are pixels, doesn't mean it's Minecraft related. Pixels came a long time before Minecraft was even thought up. A very, very, long, time.
THESE PEOPLE DONT UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF A JOKE WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH U
I'm sure most of us do understand the concept of a joke. Your joke simply wasn't funny. Take it easy and stop being a sperg.
ok sorry if you took offense at my attempt of humor

Have to thank john 117 on this one for the leather wrapping tutorial.. I'm working on a greek kopis I'm an amateur, but so far I am pleased with the results.
I'm rigging this robot arm but I'm not sure how to proceed Is this a decent bone model for it? I want to make an IK rig for it but I had trouble with certain bits bending in ways they weren't supposed to. Anyone know anything about this sort of stuff?

Anyone know anything about this sort of stuff?
There looks like a lot of excess bones in there. Keep in mind that bones do not have to be in a chain to function, feel free to remove bones and then attach them with the attach tool. Ideally you want as many bones as you need rotations.
Did this last night. Need to fix the handle after work. Suggestion?
Texture is a bit noisy and there's a lack of some wear and tear. Doesn't have to be a whole lot if you're going for clean, but some scrapes around the edges is nice. Also by "fix the handle" I'm assuming you mean rotate the wood grain?

is that a colt saa with a fluted barrel? looks odd.

I'm dealing with 4K resolution texture, which makes scaling for details somewhat tedious.
is that a colt saa with a fluted barrel? looks odd.
Yes it is. I didn't like the fact that the barrel was rounded, so I decided to make it look like a mix up between a early 1880's pistol and a wild west kind. Still need to tweak the details. Will post more. There's no way for me to rotate the wood grain pattern unless I manually go in and edit the layers directly (By collapsing everything entirely) Will soon fix this.
Did this last night. Need to fix the handle after work. Suggestion?
I don't know, I think it looks pretty damn sweet, I'm no expert on guns at all though. The only major thing is just that a lot of the edges seem very sharp and it seems to be causing some aliasing issues. If it were me I might bevel them slightly or add a few edgeloops to soften the lighting but I don't know if that would be accurate.
Finished the Kopis as of now. I added a bloodied variant and decided to go with an ivory grip.
How exactly do you attach bones in 3ds max?
Skin modifier... Is there a reason why you must use the bone instead of using nodes and helpers?
Skin modifier... Is there a reason why you must use the bone instead of using nodes and helpers?
Yes I know how to use the skin modifier, but if I delete a bone in the sequence they no longer rotate together anymore. Also, I haven't been able to find anything suggesting to use nodes and helpers?
I guess, you should parent your bones properly to make one influence another.
Okay got it, i worked out how to link the bones. I've got a decent rig for it now. Still having trouble with the IK rig bending bones and I'm not sure how to limit it to a certain axis. [t]http://i.imgur.com/pRBtF82.png[/t] [editline]7th February 2015[/editline] Actually, I think I figured it out. Got this working at least.
