I added a local lightsource to boost the color and brightness. I suppose I should have scrapped the local lights with the 100% reflective demo.

Agreed i'll probably go over it again trying to make it look more unique and less uniform (was going for a sort of lightly worn smooth concrete).

Are the wheels temporary or not because they're letting you down a little bit. You're off to a good start on the textures though, you just need to make them less procedural looking and perhaps a bit more subtle, from the reference images I have of my train, these things don't get that dirty (even the dirty ones, ironically) but they do have some subtle surface breakup from dried up dirt etc. Keep at it!

I don't know why people struggle with unwrapping pipes, running a seam along the bottom and then just relaxing works and it's faster.
