I don't know if it's the angle, but the barrel and pump stick (I am not good with identifying weapon parts) seem quite skinny.

I got 3ds Max 2014, the tutorial that came with it did not go very deeply into modelling, anyone got some good tutorials that I could watch? You guys are making complex stuff, I'd like to start by making a hat in tf2, as I dont think it needs to be animated.

Generally for wood, if the piece of wood is horizontal, then then grain of the wood/ peeling of the paint, should also be horizontal, and the same applies if it is vertical, then the grain of the wood should be vertical. So for your windows, I would suggest fixing up the textures (or UV). It also appears that your roof, the overhanging section off the side of the building is a little messed up. I would suggest for you to keep it straight up and down and not taper it off into a point like you have.

So at the moment I'm making a random ship because I've been bored and I haven't been able to decide what it actually is yet, so I thought, if I let you guys take a look at it I can finally decide what it is. One friend Ive shown it to says it looks like a Fighter, I was orignally aiming for a cruiser/destroyer type ship but I'll let you guys review it anyway... I've decided I'm going to convert it into a fighter because I began work on a carrier ship only a few hours ago (I'll post pictures when its looking a lot better). I think if I add a cockpit and flatten it a little, also shrink its size and get rid of those poles, it'll look a little nicer. Also I'm going to get rid of all those small guns because they're a little silly on a fighter after all. I'm work on it tomorrow because its 20 to 1 here. :v:
I made a set of stairs for my map, I don't know why but it was having trouble using brush based ones. I might change the handrail position a bit though, it's a bit less then ergonomic at the moment. Those stairs should be holograms.

Here is the updated version of my ship. I've modified it into a fighter by removing the back pole things, flattening it and lengthening it. I also made the back end of the ship a bit wider and I've extended the engines outwards. Sculpted some teeth for her... not anatomically right, but they'll do their job fine enough in her mouth. Actually they look pretty good in her mouth, honestly. ;D Not to forget that I haven't retopoed or textured them yet. I still have to model eyelashes, then the whole nude body is done, finally (Except the hair, which I'm going to model in the end after other texturing jobs, because it's going to be a hell of a styling journey). :) But... modeling the inner mouth with fitting gums is just a painful job... especially since there aren't much of a documentation how to model them "right". Well, I got them to work pretty nicely, considering that I'm only moderately good with modeling in general. :D [img]http://i.imgur.com/oyPK4cL.jpg[/img]
