I haven't seen it before, I think technically you've done a very good job with the model and materials, but the design isn't my favorite.
still a heavy WIP!
Would love any feed back

It's all in the works! but yes, specular is there. Not strong enough?

I'm not an antique connoisseur but I do feel like the gold should be just a little darker and ever so slightly less shiny to match the age and tear the rest has. It's looking pretty awesome though.
Doodled a wheel and then immediately forgot why

Perhaps I could make a MK1 Golf to bolt them to
Looks almost alright next to the small, low poly, shared texture, none-vital decorative prop from pre-2004 though:

Join me next time where I'll be remaking an object from Deus Ex whilst pointing, laughing and rolling around on several 4GB sticks of ram

Your wheel looks pretty good, man. Looks like the Spare that I had for my old car. Maybe you should make it a prop for use with S-cars.

Ready to call this done. I've just run into issue after issue with these materials for some reason and I'm just giving up at this point.

Upload it to Verold so we can see it in real time!
Can anyone help me with something? Im having a tough time trying to make some interior buildings in 3ds max for UDK. Is there any way I can get a hammer styled brush creation system in 3dsmax that can speed up my process? I find it really hard to make walls and other things in 3dsmax.

You can, sorta. Not to the extent of hammer but you'll be able to work with it. use the snaps feature. if you right click snap, you can set it to snap to grid, and then within that same panel you should see 'grid settings' set the grid to 8, 8, 64

I think you need more contrast on your specular.

One thing I noticed off the bat, you have a very angular bread. Like your sillouete looks low poly that what it should be.
unless you're going for a game ready asset rather than a fancy render?

I messed up on some geometry, sorry, I was just trying to get the general techniques down.
I might re do this sometime else
although I could use it as an asset, couldn't I? :)

Wow that texture work is amazing IMO.
I thought you were posting a reference of bread for a while.

Looks nice but you should have given the function keys geometry. They look too flat compared to everything else, and that would have been what, another 50 tris?

Yea. I was trying to do a half and half with geo and flatness. Where their would be geo around the space bar and lower buttons and the gradually go to a flat surface near the top.
