Work in progress of my first head model i've ever done from scratch, using 3ds max and mudbox. Big images http://puu.sh/6ePYf.jpg http://puu.sh/6ePXW.jpg Hair is a placeholder from other model.

I have no idea why, either. It looks surreal and awesome.
y u people no use the [t] tags?
Talk like a normal person, not a meme-run robot.
Talk like a normal person, not a meme-run robot.
January 9, 2014: Dear Diary, It looks like robots are finally beginning to take over. Earlier today, new robots were created which could last forever. An alternative fuel source was discovered which could keep them powered under an infinite cycle. These robots are powered by internet memes. It appears fighting back is useless. We must now, as they say: "Hide your kids and wife." Thanks Japan Okay, I'm done being dumb for now.
The globe is now finished!
You should consider adding shadows. It looks like it's glowing.

Although I'm currently halted by some annoying thing in Blender - http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?323441-Wierd-problem-with-high-to-low-poly-texture-baking for more details on it.

So I'm usually an ideas guy but a resolution of mine was to actually get up and try to make the game I've always seen in my head, so I got a friend and we're both gonna learn how to do specific tasks that will be useful. Anyways I wanted to post the bullet I modeled in blender (first time actually using it) after screwing around in frustration for an hour trying to make a welrod. (Definitely need more practice) Needs texturing
Shamefully cross posting some stuff from the other thread I've done the past days. It's a small detail, but it adds realism efficiently. Also, the upper eyelid overlaps the lover eyelid on the opposite of the tear duct just slightly, but that can be highlighted in the normal map, if you sculpt it in Mudbox. So, it doesn't necessarily need a special topology for that. Just a full and clean edgeloops around the eye is the best solution at the end. The topology can be something like this (Note that this example has a spiral loop around the eye, so I would rather model it with several separate edgeloops from outward the eyelids though)
900~ tris. Still a few things with the normal mapping under the rail which annoyed me though.
I will play literally anything related to submarines, is it public yet?
Nay. Not sure when at this time.

[t]http://puu.sh/6hQDY.png[/t] Have a badly rendered, badly textured Claymore. The leather handle is really bad though.

Also I'm not sure what's going on with the globe at the poles, why is it stretched so awkwardly?
I want to get stuck into learning subd modeling, does anyone have any tips and tricks or links to excellent tutorials they've used in the past relating to it?

Looks like one of those creepy models you see on budget TV commercials
Yeah, there's a reason Ratchet has the proportions that he does in the Ratchet & Clank games and movie: Insomniac themselves tried with more human proportions and it just looked downright creepy, rather than endearing. That seems to have replicated those results rather efficiently.

Also, the stretching will have something to do with my UV mapping - I cylinder projected it but I also had to manually tweak some parts, perhaps I didn't do the poles enough.
Made these super quick silly models in the down time between making "real" ones that I can't show right now because they're part of a secret project. Mm, mysterious. The only hard part is going to be making a map with 'em Now I wonder how many people know where these are from eh, details
Oh shit, 28365, that's numberwang!
I'm sorry.
